Recently we’ve had Arblaster and Hamer much to the delight and seemingly surprise of Sky Sports.
In other seasons we’ve had Sharp, Walker, Maguire, Booker and others sat in amongst our supporters.

Is this a common occurrence with other clubs as well or is it fairly rare and unique to United?
I don’t tend to watch other clubs matches live on TV, so I have no idea if it happens a lot.

I once saw Charlie George sat with the Derby fans and also Derek Dougan with the Wolves supporters

Although he left us 2 years earlier, Tom Fenoughty was sat next to me and my dad when we beat Leeds 3-0 on Tuesday night in August 1971. I remember Wendy players such as Sam Ellis and Colin Prophett (there were a few more Wendy players too) sitting behind me in the John Street stand when we beat Leeds 1-0 in the League Cup on Sept 1970. Even Sam Ellis gave me the thumbs up when TC scored the memorable winner.

That’s sounds like an everyday brunch at your parents house

Tom is a Blades fan. My mate used to go out with his daughter who's been going for years and is a season ticket holder. Tom is a lovely guy and will quite happily tell loads of stories from his playing days. A Spireites legend too.

I remember one away match Mitch Ward was having a poor game and some of the Blades were giving him some stick one bloke started defending him.an older guy who I learned later was Mitch Wards dad. Blood is thicker than water as they say ...UTB

I've sat next to Wilder twice at away games, purely by chance.

Once at OT in 1993 and once at QPR around 2001.

Unfortunately had to sit near McNulty for the Bouncing Day game. Doyle with him.

Once sat next to Abigail Cruttenden at West Brom. Her husband was the other side of her.

Wilder was a few rows in front of me in the 2-0 win at Everton in May 1993. At that time he was a Rotherham player but it didnt stop him from singing Blades songs with his mates.

I sat near Chris Wilder one night in Josephine’s in my callow youth, we were both absolutely trousered

Back when we played the pigs at the sty in the zenith data cup I was sat near Mark Todd

James Madison was supporting his home town club, Coventry, yesterday

I can't remember if it was the Burnley play off final or the Hull FA Cup semi final, but I'm sure Jags and Brown were sat among the fans.

Neville and Scholes have often stood in the away end for Man Utd.

Hamer was still going to Coventry last season.

McBurnie regularly went to Swansea.

I sat next to Geary at Chesterfield in the League 1 promotion season.
