We already knew we had the best stadium...sitting on scaffolding at gillingham etc.

Loudest? Our fans have been very quiet for the last few season except from very recently. Although who can blame us?! we've had to watch some shite

Yeah, but even then once or twice a game the kop will generate a raw noise any other team in league one could only dream of.

I love Bramall Lane and I can't wait to see it full again regularly.

But what happens when we are established in the Premier League? we extend the kop, take the stantions out, extend the south stand.... Then what? To get the tourists in as well as the regulars we'd need a bigger ground.

I know, I know, it's a long way off (and may never happen in my lifetime) but short of knocking it all down and shifting it all south and east a little on the current site, we'd have to move.

Yeh, ok, I'll shut up

An extension to the Kop would do the job.
Plenty of room there for a start.

John street was built with very little forethought for me. We could have been looking for a stand similar to the size of the south stand.
Either way, I don't see us ever needing anything more than 45,000. Doing the Kop and filling the final corners in would be more than enough for quite some time.

Buy all the properties on the other side of Bramall lane, extend backwards, huge third tier. Bramall lane to actually remain as a tunnel through the stand, same on John Street. Viola, 55,000 seater funded by champions league football.

Easy

We should have no problems regarding height of stands either. Not after they allowed that monstrosity Chinese building on the corner of St Mary's gate and the equally monsterous giant mosque not so far away.

L
The Star really are on their arse if they grabbing poll results off a Twitter account that was setup in January and only has around 2,000 followers.
leave em alone;-) most interesting article I have read.

"The Blades fans, having a disproportionate number of potential voters, have decided against holding an inquiry into the results"

Whats wrong with the Chinese tower fatty? admittedly it looks crap at the moment but hopefully when its finished it will look modern and reflect greatly on our city, definitely an improvement on the dump before.when fans are approaching our extended stadium in a few years from Spain,Germany and Italy to play champions league football I think it will reflect on us quite well :-))

Think it would help if I had some idea what the finished product will look like tbh ;)

I'm still in disbelief that that hideous mosque was aloud to be built!?
Bet a church that big wouldn't be allowed!!

Making Bramall Lane truly the city centre stadium

Edit :That went well

Is it this like 16yr old playing in a u9 football & thinking he is lionel Messi, we got 20500 on Saturday, 90% of L1 are delighted to just get above 6000

Helps if you like modern, glass fronted buildings, I like old buildings and modern It will look good when finished and makes the approach to the lane far better.

You've still got a copy of Junior Blade from about 1983? ;-)

Why do you think a church would be refused ?

Par for the course these days... The only shock was that there wasn't additional clickbait in the title.
