I was quite impressed with Lee's attempts to save the penalty, he wasn't far off; and granted he got virtually no support from his defence for Evans' second.

I know that the other two were well-struck shots but the fact remains that both went between Lee and his near post. His positioning wasn't good enough. If his positioning was right, either shot might have hit him, which would have still counted as a save.

Say what you like about Simonsen's control of his area and ability to claim the high ball - they are weaknesses - but his general positioning is excellent.
