Anyone else think these two shouldn't play with each other?

Neither seems to be able to effectively hold the ball up imo. It resulted in our midfield hardly seeing the ball the first half. Wouldn't it make more sense to have one of the two playing off a Creswell, Porter even Kitson? Also they didn't seem to know what the other was doing, muliple times one won a header, but the other was miles away. Hopefully they'll gain an understanding as the season progresses.

Saying that, thought they both had a good game, Blackman had plenty of chances and took his goal well and Cofie won a lot more headers than usual, could've done with a 35 yarder though....

I think Nick Blackman reminds me a bit of Danny Webber, a cracking player when the going is good, but when the goals dry up, and his confidence drops..............

When have his goals dried up? He's not gone more than a couple without scoring so far.

I just think when he goes 4 or 5 games without scoring, and misses a couple of easy chances, he might not be the same player, a bit of a confidence player, a cracking player with confidence, crap without confidence.

Out of all the contributing factors to today's debacle, these two being paired up front is pretty far down the list.

Just posted virtually the same thing in Deadbats report, totally agree.

It's all in the delivery. Get the balls into the strikers how they want them, if they have the movement, they will get and take chances.

It finally clicked for ched last season because he got the delivery

That said, they need time to develop a partnership... This needs 4-5 games of both playing 90 mins and persevering even if it doesn't look to be working... In many ways this is the time to leave them on as they will develop a partnership

Miller must be starting to wonder why he came here, especially with the signing of Kitson.

I would like to see him and Blackman given an extended run.

I think we need to get a settled strike partnership, whoever it is. But yes give them a proper run, even if they have bad games.

I think they'll all get their chances during the season... It's during the run in where we'll need them most

Yep, tht's what I' do until Kitson'f fit at least, Miller is much more positionally aware than Cofie and would be easier to build a partnership around.
