Hypothetical situation (or maybe not competely so). Would you sooner us beat Wednesday and they get relegated or lose to them and they stay up but Blackwell gets sacked???

Option 2 for me. I really want the pigs to go down, but I prefer to put United first. Hence I'd take a defeat and Wednesday safety if Blackwell got the boot.

I would never wish defeat on United in that game. I'm sorry Olle, but wild horses couldn't drag me across to your way of thinking on that one. I would suffer any manager a little longer to beat those fuckers.

UTB!

Definitely Wednesday down.

If KB screws up with his summer recruitment & subsequent tactics he will be gone by Xmas anyway, so we would have a double whammy. And it wouldn't be the case that he would have wasted money better spent by his successor - he won't be spending much money, we'll have predominantly Bosman signings on relatively short contracts.

Plus, KB has shown that he can pick a player. What he can't do is get them to consistently play positive football. So we could be left with a limited, but not entirely useless squad with a new manager brought in to reinvigorate things, and with our grunting brethren in Division 3. I'll take that.

Might only be a bit of fun but we're keeping Blackie so pigs down for me.

Even if it meant Blackie would be going I would want the pigs to lose and would never ever want them to be in a position where they can claim to have got rid of our manager.

'our grunting brethren in Division 3'

Don't forget admin and points deduction!!

"Kill the pig! Cut his throat! Kill the pig! Bash him in!"

Not that I would wish that on any individual snortbeast, you understand. Although their balls could catch fire and roll down the bed as far as I'm concerned. But the club, on the other hand?

Send. Them. Down.

Wednesday to go down, Blackie will get sacked on his own eventually.

Now if you said wednesday beat us, still go down and blackie goes then am all for that. Wednesday going down is the only hope i have left for this season. oh and leeds staying in league 1 obviously.

I voted lose the derby. Not that i give a monkeys about your respect anyway.

Easier for me as i wouldn't have any grunters rubbing my nose in it every day, but if it meant the immediate sacking of Blackwell, i'd take a derby loss.

This thread really does show we have some prize idiots among our fans.

Ok this season hasn't been great for whatever reason, be it the manager, injuries, bad luck etc etc. But why the hell would you GENUINELY WANT to lose to Wednesday just so we get a new manager?? Are you so fucking high up your own agenda that you would happily watch Wednesday beat us knowing that you could say 'told you so' on a forum?

Personally if we do the double over Wednesday and that sends them down then KB deserves to stay. Taking 6 points off them that ensures their relegation would be sweeter than any new manager we could have at the Lane. I'd tell Mourinho to fuck off if it meant we could relegate that shower of shit.

It's a bit of fun seeing how Blades deal with a hypothetical situation, but oh here comes the 'intelligent' one to lower the tone and throw in a few personal insults. Well done ...... Bravo

Your comment in bold is just sheer lunacy. You would base a whole season around 2 games. Wouldn't that mean that last season (when we finished 3rd and narrowly missed out on automatic) that you'd have sacked him for losing both games to Wednesday.

If I was as arrogant as you then I would suggest that you were an idiot for being so short sighted. Some times the easiest decision is not the best one and some times you have to go through a bit of pain to make things better. So what if you get the piss taken out of you for a few weeks if it means that United are likely to drastically improve. Kevin Blackwell needs to be removed. He is a joke of a manager and has slowly bled the life out of our beautiful club. Would I trade a loss to our rivals to get him the boot? Abso-fucking-lutely.

This is not about saying I told you so or whatever. It's about what is best for Sheffield United football club. IMO the best things it to get rid of Blackwell. Hence i'd take a defeat to Wednesday to do that. I want the Blades to rebuild, start playing some decent football and get some passion back. I don't care if it takes a couple of years, as long as it's the right manager in charge.

my thoughts exactly, how can you possibly want to lose to the grunters, its beyond belief. Just something I will never be able to get my head round i suppose.

Hear hear. How anyone could stand for losing to the pigs for any reason is beyond me. That's when you've gone from being a supporter of the club to being the supporter of a personal vendetta. I think Blackwell should go as well, but there is absolutely no way that I would ever, ever, ever trade a derby win for a new manager. No deal!

You Sir are, as mentioned above, an idiot in my mind. You are the reason the passion has been lost I think, you no longer support SUFC to win. You go to a match and hope we lose so that KB will get sacked.

And forget the sarcasm in any reply. I'm guessing you think highly of yourself but what you have just said in the post above has really made you look a fool. Wanting Wednesday to beat us. That really does make you look like a 'tard.

Olle, why would we need to lose that game to have Blackwell removed? If the directors had a clue between them KB would be removed at the end of the season regardless of the derby result. I know this hypothetical question was only started as a bit of fun, but I don't see how the two issues are either directly related or subsequent to one another.

I'd love to agree with you Ollie but you'd want us to lose 5-0 to the Wendies, sorry mate nothing is worth that.

Are you suggesting that anyone wanting us to go to Hillsborough and win is short sighted?

It is never "for the best" for Sheffield United to lose, never mind to lose to our rivals. Yes all results have a cause and effect, that long term effect may end up being turned around and becoming a more positive outlook, but that doesn't make the cause "the best thing to happen".

You speak about the life of our club, what is this going to be if every time someone takes a dislike to one individual it is hoped that we perform as badly as possible?

Who will be the right manager? how will we all know when he's here? how long will he have to prove he's the right one?

Some wanted a change from Warnock, a change from Robson and now a change from Blackwell, how long will it continue or how far does the wanting us to lose stretch?

Would you take us going out of business or being relegated year on year until you get your man?

If we won and battered them, would you be happy and give Blackwell credit for the win, or annoyed that he may have extended his stay?

The decision on the manger for next season has already been made in my opinion. Winning or losing the derby game won't make any difference to the decision.
Although a week ago I was 80% Blackie was a dead man walking everything at the club has tightened up like a Irish choirboys arsehole after mass.
This can be read two ways, either the club have sent out Simon Argall again to go round everyone with his big stick in order to stop people talking, or there was no truth to it.
The source was good, very good but the silence is giving me doubts.

If we beat the pigs and send them down extend Blackwells contract and make the man a saint.

Oh contraire dear sir. The person who resorts to personal insults is the one who looks like a fool.

You can't handle the fact that I've got an opinion you don't like so you state that I am an idiot! I am a 'retard' because I can see the bigger picture? More like because I don't agree with you. Absolutely pathetic. Your arrogance knows no bounds when you state that I am the reason that Sheffield United has lots its passion.

(Not that I need to defend myself but ......) I am a very passionate Blade who wants the best for my team. It always hurts when United lose. Do I want Sheffield United to lose agianst Sheffield Wednesady? Of course not. I want us to win and I want Wednesday to go down. But in a hypothetical siutation (as stated in the thread) - i.e. if a genie game to me and said option a or b - then I'd lose to Wednesday to get rid of Blackwell. Does this make me less of a United fan? In the mind of an arrogant, idiotic facist then maybe 'yes'.

This was supposed to be a bit of fun (as it says in the title) and to stimulate a bit of light hearted debate. However, once again, we find personal insults flying around because some posters can't handle the opinions of other posters. I'm not getting on my high horse, but it really makes me sad when people can't state there opinions without someone calling them an idiot, a twat or implying that they are not true supporters or whatever bull shit it is.

To be fair Ollie, you don't live in Sheffield and so don't have to put up with grunters in every day life as many of us do. So it is a little easier for you to hold your opinion, which I respect, than it is for those of us who suffered from their double over us last season.

You can take a pigs relegation out of the equation for me; I NEVER want us to lose against them under ANY circumstances. And if winning against them resulted in KB keeping his job, then so be it.

Im sorry I just cannot see how anyone would want to lose to wednesday. Sending wendy down would go down in history as one of the greatest days in my time of been a blade. Seeing the wendys crying on the pitch after getting relegated would be a million times better than seeing blackwell get the sack.

Considering the player departures, the lack of funds to replace these players he has done well. Blackwell In!!! and Wednesday Down!!!

People who can't spell are actually the idoits. Unlucky darling ;)

I can handle the fact that other people have different opinions other than my own, I was merely pointing out that yours is one that lacks credibility by saying you would happily lose 5-0 to Wedneday.

Feel free to call me arrogant or a fascist though, if indeed you can spell them correctly, it really does not bother me in the slightest.

As for your statement that this is supposed to be a bit of fun. Is this the same fun in which your letter was apparently wrote after you received a lot of criticism?
