Billy's goal drought

At the risk of starting a serious debate, I thought he looked a lot better last night with a partner with pace and movement. Recently, his partnership with Hanson has me doubting whether that partnership gets the best out of both of them...

The way I see it, the stats don't lie. The lad hasn't scored since the 76th minute at Oxford. That's 104 minutes of football plus some stoppage time. His legs have clearly gone. Wilder knows it but hasn't got the bottle to say so. Get rid and get Higdon back, I say. At least that way the pie sales will soar.

I think that entirely depends on the opposition.

Just shows that this team has enough about it not to rely on Sharp. It's great we have him, but it's also great that we can score four goals via other players.

I should add, last night was an exception rather than the rule, so more consistency from the rest of the team, especially midfield.
I was looking at the prices of scorers in the match before kickoff and we had freeman at 7/2.

A bloody fullback 7/2!!

Just goes to show bob, what a player, and how he's responded to the challenges that have been put before him. One minute on the transfer list, the next an invaluable part of Wilder's mean machine! Hope he get at least 10 goals this season, the fella deserves to be part of next season's adventure in the Championship UTMB

Gi oer ..... your making him sound like Matt Done

Apart from Bills calamitous failure in front of goal last night the keener observers amongst you may have also noted that Wilder only thumped his Blades badge 14 times when on the field saluting the fans at the final whistle. This compared to the far happier days of Oxford away last week when a more palatable 37 'thumps' were recorded. Something's not quite right I think you's all agree.
Worrying times.

Ps. On the subject of Matt Done, I was just coming out of the ticket office on Monday when I saw Matt walking down the car park to get on the team coach. A worried look came across his face just as our paths were about to cross, only alleviated when I gestured for him pass in front of me to climb the steps. Only afterwards did it occur to me that he would never have got past me or been able to get around.

Why? How fat are you?

Agreed. Opposition sitting with lots of players deep suits Hanson where he can cause problems from crosses and long, erm, passes. Bit of space, Lavery can take advantage. Options! We finally have options!
