In some form of coaching/managerial role. Or maybe even next Tony currieShould he get a job for life at the Lane?
They give them out like fucking charity bags these days so I think he’ll be sorted.Should he get a job for life at the Lane?
Got to get a statue int car park.
Totally agree 1889...testimonials are for footballers from a bygone era...not today’s millionaires....a position on the coaching staff would appear to be just fine...Testimonials were a golden handshake for players who earned 6 shilling a week and travelled to and from games on the bus.
Billy Sharp doesn’t and won’t ever need a testimonial, I think he’s earned a contract extension though![]()
Good question, pretty short I would imagine. You can see on videos his Dads posted, that he’s a natural footballer and if he’s inherited his Dads work ethic, I think you might even struggle to get someone to take your bet !Wonder what odds you can get for one of Billys sons ending up playing for Sheffield United ??
Come again…Do you suffer from premature ejaculation.....
I can't even manage it for a first time ... Thanks for pointing out my biggest insecurity.Come again…
Testimonial’s seem like they’re from a bygone era but in reality that’s only because players don’t stick around at clubs for 10 years.Totally agree 1889...testimonials are for footballers from a bygone era...not today’s millionaires....a position on the coaching staff would appear to be just fine...
The last 2 big ones I can recall were Ryan Giggs who bought a boat with the proceeds, and Vincent Kompany who gave it all to Manchester children’s charities.Testimonial’s seem like they’re from a bygone era but in reality that’s only because players don’t stick around at clubs for 10 years.
He deserves a day and as man of charity he make it all about his foundations. 25k people in the lane with all proceeds to his foundations who would begrudge him that??
He’s earned it..I don’t think the proceeds of a testimonial have gone into a players personal pocket since the early 90s

The latter seems a better bloke.
