After watching one of the most abject performances tonight in many a year, are some of our players believing their own hype? “Bottom of the table side, 60 percent effort will do tonight lads” One thing I can’t abide is lack of effort. A kick up the fucking arse would be putting six under 23s in the side on Tuesday. Why not, they couldn’t be any worse and would probably show more desire than certain arseholes on the pitch tonight. I don’t mind getting beaten by a better side, but tonight was totally unacceptable. Show a pair of fucking bollocks, man up and win, lose or draw if you’ve put in 100 percent effort a Blades fan will know it and appreciate it.

Did feel a bit like that and Wilder has accused them of this before after the Millwall game. I'm not sure if they think they have done enough this season or if it was just over confidence to why we saw such a half arsed display tonight.

We got out battled by a team managed by Nigel fucking Adkins

It’s a case of form is temporary, class is permanent.

I don’t care how good the manager is and Wilder is clearly a top manager. You can’t take a load of players from League One and get them playing at Championship playoffs level all season.

There is always going to be a drop off in form as these players aren’t good enough to seriously challenge for the playoffs.

They are challenging though. But agree that on paper we shouldn't be anywhere near top 6. Just shows what a job Wilders done. Over achieving can be a curse though. Fans come to expect it. What we are seeing now is us trying to get the last few drips from a cloth that's been rung out far too much. Wilder wasn't backed in the transfer window, players brought in were nothing more than squad players. Fatigue, lack of quality in depth, injuries, and opposition finding a way to play against us are all factors. Had a bet on a top 10 finish. I'm still in the race with 10 weeks to go.

the reason that some of these players are 'league one' players (not ours) is that they have the skill but not the head. they can't do it every week and keep grounded. that is why we get cup upsets and cup tarts.

few things have happened.
championies adrenaline has ran out
teams have sussed us
we think we've arrived

that performance was fucking embarrassing.
baldock aside, they should club together and repay the travelling fans. Bit harsh? Only 1-0? Score line is irrelevant - we could go to Man C. And loose 4-0 but give everything and i would applaud them off. But they have set their own standards, to not play to your best is not acceptable. If it isn't good enough and you get spanked 4-0 no worries.
toothless up front, simple passes going wrong, no creativity.
it's as though we think we've arrived and turn over team like Hull by turning up.
hull won the battles, loose balls, wanted it more, and left everything on the pitch - whilst we were slow, lethargic and settling for mid table - it was as though the managers had swapped dugouts.

this is challenging times for Wilder, he comes out and says we were wank, but were starting to hear that every other game now, stop telling us that performance was shit and stop it happening.

Adkins marching up and down, clapping his hands, nodding and patting all the players on the back like he'd beaten us with heroic tactics and by being a strategic mastermind.
We were wank. You were sliiiiiightly better.

I don't get this business of once again saying the players aren't good enough because they are, we know when they turn up there are 3 or 4 teams better than us in this league and Hull are not one of them! So many of the players didn't play well last night, whether it was their attitude, team selection, the whistles, I don't know but I'd suggest all 3 to a degree. Wilder needs to put his hands up and acknowledge that his tinkering seems to upset the team, it shouldn't but it does. These protests yes we played crap but we always play crap when there are protests, if the game has to be stopped do it, threaten to turn out the supporters if it's repeated who next Wednesday? Wouldn't put it past them as it's a tactic that works.
