Big Sam announced to have left Blackburn. Does this affect our potential new manager or will he walk straight into the lane?

When I opened this thread I was already ready to write "if Speed goes then Ellis can go too" But Allardyce, way too expensive for us.

I agree that he probably would be way too expensive. He is quite good at dragging teams out of the shite, but his football is generally dire.

Never going to happen, way too high profile for us and would cost more in wages that we could ever afford!

would be great, and alot better than some of the names on the other posts.

allardyce isnt pure hoofball and has done well with bugger all money (in terms of prem spending) with bolton and blackburn.

we need stability and progression, not a quick fix for this to all happen again in a years time.

We are in the brown stuff big time, and need results asap. Im sick of 'ah he likes to hoof it, i dont want him' nonesense.

Whichever way we play, i will be happy as long as we get results. Always have been, always will be.

Plays a lot more football than people give him credit for. Still, wouldn't drop a division for us - too big an ego.

You've got it right Wards ,Big Sam thinks he should have the England job his head wouldn't fit through the Lane's front entrance.

I would love to see him at the Lane however we are a few years down the road from attracting Premier League managers. I would suspect Avram Grants P45 is just about ready to be dusted off
