The first 10 minutes of a match is far too early to predict that the pattern of play will continue throughout - we were dominant against the pigs for 45 mins and were pegged back to 2-2 after 60 mins when they had their spell at the start of the 2nd half - probably safe to say that if Duff hadn't scored when he did we could have lost that match. Just because you start well doesn't mean you will continue and all I'm saying is that a team like Wolves, who are pissing the league right now, had the quality in the squad to come back into it with 11 men. Whether they would have or not who knows, but you also have no grounds for assuming we would have continued to dominate after just 10 mins play.

No need at all for the “sorry”. It’s been said before. Those who express themselves in robust terms like me must accept reciprocal responses.

We beat Wolves comfortably and deservedly. We can only assess the match that happened, not the one that might have. We didn’t have a player sent off because we were too busy running them ragged in their half to have no need of a goal-preventing foul tackle.

Wolves are looking set for the Premier at the moment and I expect them to go up automatically but over half a century watching the game has persuaded me not to award any trophies in December. As I said at the start of the season when people were running scared of that awesome force of nature, Brentford, there are no titans in this league. That remains the case.
