1980 because that's when I started going regularly and you've got to draw the line somewhere.
I've not included loan players or those that only played a handful of games...
Who do you reckon?

Between Walker and Borbokis for me. Voted Walker as it was obvious from the very start he was a class above. Borbokis was brilliant, but short lived and didn't really work in a 4-4-2. That performance against Sunderland on opening day 1997 though...

Bradders was excellent in the 93/94 season when we actually had a defence defence, but were let down with lack of goals (selling Deano...)

Got to be Borbokis just for the goals, had a soft spot for bradshaw though good lad.

Naughton for me though I have a huge soft spot for Geary. A signing which was slated the bloke had more heart than the current set of spineless cunts put together and he won folk over and showed he could play a bit at times.

Borbokis would have been my choice if playing with wing backs and Bradshaw I always think of further up the pitch. No Kevin Gage? For shame.

How can anyone seriously suggest Walker? He only played about 3 matches for us

It depends how people are interpreting the question.

For example the answer to the question 'Who is the best player ever to play for Sheffield United?' could either be Tony Currie or Ian Rush.

Yeah he is by far the best right back who has played for us but he isn't OUR best right back

Some of the shifts that Geary put in were immense, genuinely gutted for him that his career had to finish early

Well, before we sold him, he did indeed only play a handful of matches, but even in that short space of time, he looked in a different class both in terms of ability and athleticism. He did then play another 20-odd matches for us on loan, so plenty of time really.

thought borborkis was left side , thats where he scored from in his debut, but he did cut across from the right , he covered both sides

never forgive the board for selling Deane and Fjortoft that season

Borbokis was nominally a right back but he wasn't great defensively. That said, can you imagine Tony McMahon breaking a defensive line like that? Or even being that far up the pitch?

Still my favourite Blades home shirt, that one.

Walker was a class above even for the few games he played. Borbokis was awesome but I also remember him being frustrating and went missing on occasion.

Bradshaw. Again , hands down.

Jags was good, but better at CB. I liked Borbokis and his crossing and ability to pass with both feet was incredible. However he was a lazy fuck and not that good at defending. Bradshaw was ace. Hard as nails, 100% Blades and a cracking full back.

I went for Naughton over Walker because I feel we didn't see the best of Walker but he is a better player now.

Borbokis for me. My club buying a fancily named foreign fullback who scores freekicks for fun, he was like a character from Roy of the Rovers! That kind of thing doesn't happen any more for us.

Definately Borbokis, though it would be Walker if we'd have kept him. Walker when he was at The Lane or Borbokis when he was at The Lane I'd go Vas.

Walker??? Wtf. The guy played 5 games for SUFC. Yet he's the best since the 1980's. Ridiculous.
