This has probably been done before, but I can't think when!

Assuming we do get one or two good Centre Backs before 11pm... Is this our best ever January transfer window?

(P.S. Is it our only genuinely good one?!)

So far I'd agree that it has been a good one as normally we sign back up players who barely feature or make an impact. The fact all four started the other day was a huge statement. My main concern is how many are loan signings. If we go up then we're already down to 8 players and need to replace them before we even start strengthening and replacing other positions. That's an expensive outlay if we're serious about going up and staying up.

Hard to judge before the end of the season.
Really depends on the quality of tge new signings and how quickly they adapt.
If it gets us promoted, then perhaps so.
If we stay in this division next season, then it'll be no.

The night is young it says in United X. Don't go to bed yet!

hockey was the crucial signing just won the ball and gave it to tc as instructed by john harris although hope was also a good signing hodgy had started dropping clangers none more so than at burnden park that january think that was the final straw for john harris

With the clamour around all the new faces it’s easy to forget the fact that we’ve kept ALL our best players as well, which for me is the most pleasing thing. There will have been interest in some.

No longer a selling club.
Was thinking the same.
Keeping Hamer is priceless and likes of Cooper and a few others. Great window in that regard.

Anyone know to what extent our top 4 rivals have strengthened?

Same for any club in this position, if we go up - it’s a great window.

New owners going for it, let’s hope we’re a Bournemouth, not a Reading

I don't know about the best ever, but with 7 in and only some young lads going out on loan, we've got the size of squad we needed at the start of the season. If they all play to their potential, then we should be in a good place on May.

Here's hoping.
