Good move for him and like Ricky says I hope Reed gets somewhere, maybe Doncaster would suit him.

I wonder if letting whiteman, a regular on the bench leave means we have a CM already signed.

Good move for all concerned this.

Hopefully a few months of regular football and he's ready to make an impact when he comes back.

That's a good move for him.

Could've already been there for 2/3 months but for the stupid removal of the loan window.

Hopefully Reed next.

And I hope recall clauses are included.[/QUOTE
It's not January yet!

Oh yes, for some with aching heads, it is

Happy New Year to All Blades wheresoever they be and may they have a speedy return to The Lane

I thought the loan rules didn't count outside the EFL....in other words league players could still go on loan to non league sides.

One or two of our young lads might benefit from some non league footy. Toughen em up, and get them some experience of misters footy.

For me there is a large age gap between the Whitemans and Brooke's of the club and The next batch who are a couple of years younger with the likes of Semple, Hallam, Cummings, Gilmoor and Slater.
It's too early for the next batch to go on loan as their development is still with the u23s.
I fully expect Semple to go on loan next season and if we get in the championship as a club he should be at a L2 club.
Hallam also I expect to go out next season.
At 19 or 20 then Whiteman , Reed and Brooke's really should be playing League football on loan this season.

What Whiteman , Reed and Brooke's going on loan will do is make our 23s very very young until the end of the season, which will help the next batch develop.

Wow. All those oracles calling for the likes of Whiteman,Brookes and Weed to step up.
Weed on the bench today but a million miles from being any real use and thankfully Wilder sees it.

I don't particularly rate Reed, but I'm a little disappointed he gets a derogatory nickname from his own fan(s)

Higgopotammus ? Simmonson? Henderson? Hammond? Woolford?
Come on mate. Weed sums him up. NGE.

I never called Higdon 'Higgopotammus', but if I had, I would have pointed out that he was an experienced player and should have been professional enough to have control of his weight.

Reed can't change his height, and is working to improve his strength - I sadly don't think it will be enough and I don't think that he'll make the grade here, but I'm not sure that warrants the nickname.

While it's obviously not obligatory, I wish we'd show our young players more support in general.

He's got his fighting pants on tonight!

Reed will be the next player to leave or be sold to a higher division team .... Then we can all debate that he went on the cheap and how shit he was blah blah blah.

I have said many times that he will be better suited to a higher level of football as he is not built for a lower league battle.

It's not having a go at him but it's just how it is.

I will bare my arse on the town hall steps if Reed regularly plays at a higher level than this.

I wouldn't have expected DCL to feature at all for Evertons first team but here we are. I wouldn't be that surprised.

He's still missing sitters at the death, so some things stay the same.

Name calling and criticism of young players trying to make their way at our club..?

Great contribution pal.

Hope the loan move goes well for him, also agree Reed would benefit from half a season elsewhere, should we be able to bring in another CM for competition of places
