Been down to the Lane this lunchtime to take back a Gillingham ticket.
As I know a few folks down there, I was invited pitch side to have a look round and even ended up on the pitch under the giant cover.
To be honest, the playing surface is not in bad nick and apart from a few concerns about the six yard box at the Bramall Lane end, the ground staff, Glen and Steve were quite optimistic about the game being played.
The weather forecast is good for tomorrow and their plan is to remove the cover in the morning and let the wind help to dry the pitch. Tomorrow's referee is Michael Oliver and it will be down to him to decide if the game goes ahead so fingers crossed.

All in all, I spent a fascinating hour down there and saw how a lot of people behind the scenes were working so hard to get this game on. Regardless of whether or not we do get a game tomorrow, I have the fullest admiration for Dave McCarthy, Glen Nortcliffe and his team who are working their nuts off for the club and ultimately, us, the supporters.
Well done to all of you, a credit to our club.
