Often wondered if there is any truth in that. Didn't Grobelaar get caught taking a bribe about the same time? I'd like to see those goals again.

We were all enjoying Sat'day afternoon, then along came some bas'dad to ruin it!

Shouldn't that read...

Hans Segers became an Everton legend in 1994 when he somehow contrived to conveniently let 3 shots trickle past him....

Could be worse you could be getting kidney punched by the "Blades Grannies Pensioners Buisness Club" never let them catch you in their electric buggies.

Funny how memory plays tricks on you. I could have sworn that there was at least two dubious goals but a penalty and a worldy. That last one though...

I know it wasn't their fault but I've hated Everton since that day. Every year I will them to get relegated.

"Bruce Grobbelaar, Hans Segers and John Fashanu stood trial for conspiracy to corrupt after Grobbelaar was caught on video discussing match fixing. The goalkeeper claimed he was gathering evidence with the intent of taking it to police, and two successive court cases saw a jury fail to reach a verdict, leading the trio to be cleared in November 1997"

the Unsworth question should have read...
which Sheffield United player deliberately handballed giving away a penalty so he could engineer a move away from the club? (he also knew the penalty wouldn't be missed, or the Blades wouldn't score themselves*)

*this bit is obviously a lie, but it fits the conspiracy theorists plot so it stay in.

Always believed Segers pulled his hand away.

What is more astonishing is that I read that that incident, and also Fashanu's two handballs against us at Plough Lane, weren't part of the investigations
