Paddy got 12 months for the stuff as I recall.

If the rumours about Jose have foundation, can he expect a similarly harsh penalty or is the key phrase "performance enhancing"? I suspect his excuse will be that he is simply indulging in "recreational activity". I am guessing that the fundamental issue here will be the basis of his contract (disrepute etc) with SUFC.
If guess that as with most employment contracts these day you can be sacked for recreational drugs (I'm sure some lawyer will come along to explain in full and point out that as yet Jose hasn't been charged with a criminal offence blah blah) but the bottom line is his contract will expire in a few months and we don't have to renew it so we'll be able to fuck him off anyway.

Granted. It would be more satisfying if we could formally sack him, though.

I have no issue with recreational. Live and let live. But should there be a provable case against him, yet again, then it would be very clear that he doesn't give a shit about doing his (modest) best for us.

He's had lots of chances. More than he deserves.

He's played his last game for us, and possibly his last game for around two years, correct me if my memory is letting me down, but isn't he on a suspended sentence from the FA from the spiked drink incident, if I'm right in saying this he has had a rumoured incident ( the glassing ) and now a suspension for another failed drug test if the rumours are correct, if so then the suspended part of the previous judgements against him come into effect when the FA deal with him..

Silly boy if these allegations are correct..

If this is another incident of Ecstacy, the FA will no doubt, quite rightly in my opinion, make the assumption that Baxters previous claim that his drink had been spiked was a lie.

Consequently, I would expect that he will be hit with the most severe punishment available to them and frankly they will be well within their rights.

Undoubtedly a talented footballer, but if your a fucking idiot, I'm afraid that talent counts for nothing :(

I'm not sure if it's a fixed tariff but sudafed is pseudo ephedrine and is classed as a performance enhancing drug. I think it's similar to what Paddy tested positive for.
It worked for Paddy ,hes been given a new contract at Rotherham today.
