Fleck MOM by a country mile.

Basham did some great things today - brilliant runs, crunching tackles superb headers, BUT his distribution is poor IMO. He gave the ball away today a lot. Almost cost us the game with a poor pass right at the end. I know we cant have everything in the 3rd tier, but he needs to do the simple things right more often.

Though JOC was just as good an in contrast goes about his business solidly and gets the basics spot on.

My favourite player is Paul Coutts. He was superb today.

The MoM however was, beyond a doubt, Was Jonny Fleck. Best player on the pitch. JOC third behind Coutts.

We played some delightful football today. First half was best of the season stuff, lacking only goals. But, long term, if you're playing football of that quality (way above League One level and different class to the opposition) you're going to succeed.

I'm proud of my proper football team, the Mighty Blades...

❤⚔

Just a quick one to eat humble pie as today he was huge and proved me totally wrong with his effort, commitment and tackling.

The 50/50 he won just in front of us in the second made such a thud, I can still hear it now.

Apologies for the overlap ILTRM, didn't spot your earlier post.

It's going to be either Fleck or Wright for the remainder of the season, barring a hugely uncharacteristic dip in form. They are the nucleus of everything quite frankly.

i really dont get the basham bashers. some supposed grown men act like school bullies, fcking grow up.

Few stray passes from Bash, put defence in trouble late on, Fleck gets my vote for MOM, best midfielder in division, playing in best midfield, need to get more goals from our midfield 3, all have great shots but are reluctant to shooooooooooot

Bash first half..Fleck second .Though NY mom overall a as me..I stopped myself hitting the total twunt sat behind me swearing away on family stand and decrying everything good we did..Strikers on wrong side....Every cross was goalie practice. Every cross needed to be on the floor...Wilde didn't have a clue..Then he started how he was glad that c..n wasn't playing at the back. For that he got a glare, an oi.. Numpty, kids, shurrup or you get reported...

He then leant over when leaving. Five minutes before the end and excitedly said if my boy wasn't there he'd kill me..I gave him a little wrist lock and then told him that people over 65 shouldn't really be silly...He left funnily enough..

I thought all the old knobs sat on the south stand...

We played well but my boy wants to know why all referees are rubbish and can we win a match please. Next week son, next week..I did slip in I've had 40 odd years of this so be happy...

Fleck just shades it from Coutts for me...Bash played well though, apart from a bit of indecision and a couple of times and gave possession away.

Duffyo_O. Too hit and miss for me again today.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Duffy is the difference between us breaking teams down and us flattering to deceive and struggling to create.

First half he was excellent and we looked dangerous. Second half Scunthorpe readjusted and got close to him, denied him space and he wilted away - as did our cutting edge...

Challenge is on Tufty to find another way for us to get that cutting edge.
