Was pondering at the game, do they have a problem with flying insects around that bit of London.

Barnet (original and best) Bees
Brentford Bees
Watford Hornets
Wednesday W(AnkerS)PS

or summat like that init

Our glory is in coming back stronger.

I’m sure you know that Bruce.

What a massive tie we missed out on there....

....

Zzzzzzzzzzz

Surely we would look at that tie and see it as a great opportunity to get into the 5th round.

...Of a competition we have zero chance of wining and whose prize money no longer even allows you to fend off offers from other clubs for your players.

All the FA Cup does is put your better players even more in the shop window see Maguure, and Murphy from 2014.

Until we are (if we ever are) a top ten Premier League side I see no value of even entering.

The Cups are a dead duck in their current form, I would scrap the League Cup, completely and start the FA Cup 3rd round in October as the midweek competition up to the final and play League games at weekends.

I agree that the League Cup should be scrapped, and that the FA Cup is a reduced competition because of its paltry prize money. I don't agree that it's a problem regarding having players in the shop window. The top PL clubs, probably all the PL clubs, will monitor carefully all the players doing well in the Championship, especially in clubs in the top 6. The idea that they are totally unaware of our top players and suddenly notice them if we have a good cup run is a bit naiive.
I also don't agree that we would have "zero chance" of winning, and besides which, one of my great bugbears, football isn't just about the trophy in the cabinet. It's about the games, the play, the successes along the way, the memorable moments for the fans. If it's only about the cups won and promotions gained, then you could save your money, do something else on Saturdays, and just check the results at the end of the season.
