The sending off was McGoldrick sending Sharp onto a 1v1 against the keeper when taken down from behind. We all know how good Sharp is with the 1v1s.

If Sharp hadn't gone down for the red ,we could have lost that .Cardiff were coming into the game it took off one of their giants. They had two more 6'4" giants on the bench for late bombardment. The red changed their chances to pound us in the box even though they managed one.

Until we sort out the back and get in another big lad who can head and dominate at the back we will struggle. The championship is mostly about aerial domination and set pieces. You have a strong big defence and you are half way there. Get a big fuck off lad at the back Utd and make your lives so much easier. Still, been saying that for about 2 years though and nowt ever seems to get sorted...

well, picked up the whole game and tbf to Cardiff they were tough, uncompromising and balls into the box were good.

We just didn't deal with them, and I suppose a bit lucky that we got away with it.

Corners, free kicks and long throws caused problems.

I suppose we won't meet Millwall Mk2 (ex Neil Harris and now managed by ex Millwall) Morison every week.

Not quite sure how the ref let Collins get away without a yellow card - clearly looked at Davies twice, put his arm up with for me the intension of putting it in Davies's face. Defo not a red card, but the intent was quite clear)

In the end, we won probably due to the numpty Cardiff centre half getting sent off.

Three points, decent performance 1st half ,didn't finish chances, good 2nd half against 10 men once we decided to pass and move it around them and we move on.

yep, generally agree with that. They started the 2nd half very aggressively and were bullying us to death.

The sending off helped us enormously.

What we should have done was put the game to bed first half, especially in the first 20 minutes - it's still our achilles heel - we need to take advantage when we're on top, get in front then make teams come out - do that and were on for 3 or 4 goals each game as our skill level up top is pretty decent.

Unsurprisingly we didn't cope at all with long throws, corners or set pieces.
We probably lose that game 11 v 11
