Probably should be in our museum, no?

Which match ball are they actually selling? As I recall during the first half, one was kicked out of the ground (over the Family Stand), and I seem to remember a second one being kicked into the away end - not be returned - or was that my imagination?

All proceeds are to the NTFC Community Trust foundation... So basically, they are raising money for their own charity based on our promotion??

Surely for NTFC, it was just another home defeat?

Money for charity? Outrageous.

It's more the fact that they are cashing in (and I realise that cashing in isn't the correct phrase to use) on SUFC's success.

The ball is being sold as a "Promotion used" ball. NTFC didn't get promoted. So they are basically targeting Sheffield United fans to buy it.

We have our own community foundation which i'm sure would be grateful for donations too: http://www.sufc-community.com/home-c62

At the end of the day to a Northampton Fan - it's a ball that was used in a game they lost.

To a United fan - it's a ball that we may have kicked the day we won promotion. It's probably been used in other games too. Why don't they sell one aimed at Oxford fans from the game that ended 0-0 the week before?

I don't really see there being much of a problem. They've seen an opportunity to get some cash in for their community foundation based on memorabilia that they own from the game at their ground. I doubt the fact it'll be providing funds for initiatives in Northampton is going to be much of a barrier to people willing to part with their cash.

Sunjihi reckons he's got the original too...

For GBP 500 i'd want a certificate of authenticity from NTFC and all the players to sign it.

We were shit the first half though.

I've got the ball Fleck scored with. I wasn't there, and do the know anybody who was, but I've got it all the same.

Yours for $400, transferred by Western Union, obviously...

Sunjihi definitely does not have it .

The ball that Fleck scored with was kicked down the field by a Blade on the pitch whereupon it was then kicked by another Blade back into the away end .

One or two on here witnessed the lad who got it on the away end and as far as I'm aware he still has it .

Don't worry, the Northampton equivalent of The Stir will be running a 24th Anniversary Memory Lane Special of the day the Cobblers lost 2-1 to Championship-bound Sheffield United in 2041.
