George has got to be club captain, he embodies us as a club, and he gives his heart and soul for us, he exudes United, not only that he’s an excellent player, he’s definitely one of of our all time greats. All we ever want is for a player to give their all, and he shows that with spades, what a great role model for the younger players.

More important he stays fit. Not bothered who is captain really - it is about ‘Leaders’ on the pitch - which have badly missed this season. McBurnie is another one - but we could do with a couple more. Good teams have Leaders all over the pitch.

Personally don't think it matters who has the arm band. Need more than one leader.
