Just been on WIlliam hill website to put a bet on tonights game. I wanted Chedwyn to score first and blades to win 3-1.

Ive accidentally put Ched to score first and scunny to win 1-4. I thought the odds were a bit tasty at 500/1! £2 on. Is it a sign? SHIT.

After saying all week that we would draw at the Sty, I had a vision of a pigs head laughing at me when I closed my eyes on saturday night.

On sunday morning I found myself putting £20 on the filth to win. The worst I have ever felt collecting my winnings.

Hang your head in shame. Although betting against your team is commonly used as an example of hedging, when it involves betting for Wednesday to win it's going too far.

I collected a nice little earner from a pissed up bet I put on the Chester-vegas - Wednesday game earlier this month; that felt good!

If we end up in the play off final I have a plan. Last time v Burnley, my brother put £300 on Burnley to win. Not a bad consolation prize.

It's def worth doing. If united win, they great, you've had a fantastic day out at Wembley and we're back in the championship. But if we lose, then the bet will at least cover your expenses for the day and you won't feel half as bad

I hate to bet against the MIGHTY BLADES, but I would ONLY do it against the filth.......I made a bit off curry/beer money so the blow was a little less.

I hurt more just thinking of the smirk on that ginger wonka's face.

If you don't know the answer to that, who does?

Omniscience ain't what it used to be!

I once accidently placed a bet on us to lose 2-1 rather than win 2-1 and SUFC promptly obliged and lost to WBA, 2-1.

Still it bought me some beer...

And if its a draw after 90 mins you win nowt

Or if you laid Sheffield United on the exchanges too, I guess.

The last time I backed Sheffield United was this fixture last season. I had a hundred quid on us to win. You know the rest.

an you've spent your season ticket money on bugger all.

How is that consolation? £10-£30 maybe but £300, are you mental?

a good point.

However my favourite bet of all time was when the pigs were playing in the FA Cup Semi against Everton and we were playing at Boothferry Park. They were heavy underdogs and I bet £50 on them to win and £50 on the draw both at > 2/1. I reckoned that winning at least £50 was the only way I could stomach them getting to Wembley and seeing them lose was well worth a ton.
As it turned out they lost in extra time (thank you Graeme Sharpe) meaning no Wembley for the unclean but also meaning I picked up my winnings as well. Happy days and if the game at Hull hadn't been one of the dullest 0-0's of all time it would have been the perfect day.

Incidentally, how the hell do you manage to back a result "accidentally", do you use braille?

My betting history is terrible so for the last 4 weeks I've bet on the pigs to win and been very happy to loose my money (Sunday excluded obviously) but my betting on them coincided with their bad run. Had a cheeky flutter on Charlton too for the 2 games they drew.

My rules were never bet on us or the pigs but now its always bet on the pigs to win but then have a cheeky scorecast on us. That way I can not win on the piggy bet and Im happy but I can also not win on the Blades bet but the Blades can still win the game.

My only other rule is never bet on the William Hill special!

If we end up in the play off final I'd suggest United suspend ST sales and all prospective ST holders put their ST cash on the opposition to win.

The subsequent guaranteed winnings can be used for ST purchases with the big surplus going into the club's transfer fund for next season.
