just on bus on way to game and a mate of mine just googled the saudi arabian flag as he wants to have a new blades saudi flag knocked up for games and he just pointed out a couple of things. Firstly the saudi emblem is crossed blades similar to our beloved club the blades are the other way round however similar. And secondly the colours of saudi arabia are green, yellow and a bit of white from what we can see so was this in mind when our away kit was designed? is our away kit a dedication to our new owner?

I think so. I think the club logo is also dedicated to them too. The difference in blade orientation is easily explained, as in 1932 when the Saudi Kingdom was founded and the new Kingdom asked to maintain the centuries old links between Sheffield Untied and the Arab world, our kit man had a nightmare and the batches we sent to Riyadh were a patchwork job 'cos of a tumble dryer problem. The Saudies loved them though, as blades facing away showed peace, so the link was born and here we are today, probably the wealthiest club in Europe.
