At thestart of the season I'd have had us down for three points by now.

Cardiff - got the draw I hoped for.
QPR- thought we'd draw but got blown away.
Boro - expected a draw and apart from Morgs slip up we would have.

Are we that far off where everyone thought we'd be?

Knocked out the Carling Cup by Hartlepool with a near full strength side, and bottom of the League.

No one thought we would be here, no one.

Relax Worksop. The point from next Saturday's goalless draw will see us of the bottom and on our way.

I have looked at the next four, and we need sumat from em all, the next 5 could well be barren.

Wot time does Meadowhall open on a Saturday ?

Despite being bottom of the league and out of the Carling cup, I think we are in a better position than some of the Sunshine Club suggested we would be in.

It might be me, but going on all available data, we are at rock bottom.

Can't argue with that. We could be in this very position AND still have Hoofy on board. Ugghh.

Pretty much where I thought we'd be after 3 (except I thought the point would have been gained against QPR).

Wasn't happy with the number of "good back up" and squad fillers we recruited in the summer and don't like the look of our ultra defensive mid-field options BUT we have got a new manager and if he can shake off Hoofy's negative attitude (bad start in that department yesterday though) then the only way is up.

Pacey and/or skillful wide men (we started last season with Cotterill, Treacey, Little and Reid) required and a ball player with a forward gear in midfield and we're back on track.

Two points worse off than i thought.Expected getting beat in both away games, but winning against QPR.That said never thought we'de be bottom after first three fixtures.

Grecian,

Below is a certain o-meter from elsewhere...

-----------------------

August
Cardiff A..................0
QPR H......................0
Middlesboro A......... 0
Preston H ...............3

September
Derby A ..................0
Scunthorpe H.......... 0
Portsmouth H ..........1
Leeds A...................0
Forest A...................0

October
Watford H................3
Burnley H.................3
Donny A..................1
Coventry H..............3
----------------------------

So as you can see we're actually up!

Scunny and Portsmouth are looking like MUST WIN games. Win against preston and pick up two points against Derby/Leeds/Forest and we are then still where I thought we'd be.

Having less than 12 points at the end of Sept will make it a long season.
