Rumours seem to be getting more solid:-

• Austin and AN Other striker to complete the front 4
• Sinclair offering the option coming off the bench ala Johnson (hopefully better effect)
• McNair to replace Crainie and challenge Bash
• Freeman to contest with Duffy the Number 10 spot
• Hendo in net

All seem sensible to me and hopefully some come off. Can’t rule out a wild(er) card or two. Fancy us to get a spoiling centre mid in as well and someone with some decent pace.

I’ll be honest, that’s not the most inspiring recruitment in the world....

Wilder mentioned youth, athleticism and technical skill. McNair is the only one there that even falls close to that category imo.

The likes of mcburie, Robinson, maupay, Adams would have set us up for the longer term whichever division we were in.

I like freeman but Sinclair and Austin at 30 and on significant wages strikes me as back up options rather that what should be our primary targets.

Suppose We still need a second loan signing as well! Assuming we can actually get hendo over the line after 2 months of trying.

My view is we need to use this window to lower the age of the first team. We don’t have any any regular contributions from players 25 and under that are actually ours. That is a longer term concern and one we should be aiming to use this Pl windfall to address
