Not a positive one this time :-(

Our record home defeat in the lower divisions. We have never lost by more than 2 at the home in the 3rd division before (and didn't lose at home in the 4th division season).

Those 2 goal home defeats:

79-80: Brentford, Carlisle, Chesterfield - all 0-2
82-83: Gillingham 0-2
88-89: Chesterfield 1-3

Have we ever lost 5-1 to a team that has only been in league football forca couple of years?

No :-) Our record lower division defeat is 0-4 3 times v Grimsby in 79-80, Newport in 80-81 and some other team I have forgotten about....

21/12/85 LOST 5-0 AT WIMBLEDON

02/03/85 LOST 5-0 AT WIMBLEDON

Ok 7 years after they got in the league but in those days there wasnt the garunteed relegation of the bottom of Div 4 (i dont think ) so theyd be seen as relative new boys .

It was 8 years and Wimbledon were promoted to the top division in 85-86, so not quite analagous.

I was at Grimsby and the lest mentioned.

Got the badge off John McPhail's shirt in the melee after the game - nearly got the whole shirt but as it was ripped from me I managed to grab the badge and hold onto that.
We were truly shit that day on the pitch but awesome on the terraces.
I can still smell the fish from the performance.
