Not surprised because he's not featured too much since Wilder has come in. Off the bench now and again but I'm guessing Wilder isn't that fussed.

Might make sense with the Danish link

Best all round if he moves on. Just not going to happen for him at the Lane for various reasons (though I think he's better than what we have seen of him).

Unfortunately for him he's part of the legacy of last season's PL shit show and he needs a fresh start at a new club where he can start again. He's still a young lad really and should be playing regularly. If he does go, I wish him well.

Fuck me, it's those daft Norfolk bastards.

Update to this; the club interested in Slimane is Norwich. Not sure what caught their interest from his cameo on Saturday though

Sheffield United man keen on Championship transfer move after pulling out of cup game

How the hell can we let him go and still have Coulibaly f*ck me he makes Slimane look Kaka.

It makes sense for him to go GLTTL and let’s bring in someone who may work better for us because he’s not doing owt here.

Delia Smith cooking or a greasy chip butty, no contest 🤔. If he want posh nosh so be it. Goodbye and fuck off.

Wilder sounding weirdly passionate on this one. Seems to have been a bit of a fallout.

I thought he'd welcome moving Slimane on. He can hardly blame him for not wanting to be a bit-part player here and he's hardly had the best of times since arriving.

A bit OTT. He’s entitled to not risk injury if he’s got a move in the pipeline and doesn’t wish to jeopardise it.

I suppose from Chris’ point of view Anis and his agent could probably have made it known he wasn’t going to play prior to 430pm on the day of the match when he was down to start.

Still doing a good job of continuing the Uno Reverse on a lot of last year’s inadequate recruitment!

Love wilder but really don’t like this side of him. Whatever has gone on, why not just keep it in house? Or at least until the deal is done and the dust is settled. Something has obviously gone off but two sides to every story and it’s not like Anis can call up football heaven to give his side.

For the record, I’d be happy to see him moved on because he’s not going to make it here and is just taking up a squad place for a youngster or new signing. But coming out like this is a bit unprofessional and I can’t believe it does much to drive up the price.

Wilder clearly not very happy about this one and tbh I'm not surprised... Last night was a lesson on why squad depth is so important. The majority of that squad were well behind our starting line up. Even though Slimane is a fringe player, it will leave Wilder having to think about bringing another player in before friday on top of the work he already had to do.

I'm not against this lad moving on, if it frees us wages and funds elsewhere. It still isn't clear what his preferred role is - CM, CAM or out wide and he's not made an impact in any of those. Bringing in a replacement who's role is clear, would be better.

But, as has been said elsewhere, it's squad depth we need - we can't continue with one out, one in.

Another member of the 'class of 23/24' summer signings already out the door.

If we turn a profit on him and use the money to sign Johnston, I'm not complaining. I reckon there's potentially a player in there but he's never been able to hold down a decent run of games which is a red flag.

We don't know all the ins and outs though and one thing Wilder commands is desire and commitment to play for the club. He didn't go into detail. It's refreshing in a way that we have a manager who demands this because it means we end up with a squad who come here for the right reasons.

I have no issue with the comments made by CW about Slimane. In fact I liked him spelling it out to anyone that would listen and his players that he demands 100% commitment.

Where I would say he could have got it better was to wait until the move was finalised before any such comment was made. Medicals can be failed. Clearly he tried to make the 'no comment' bit but after being pressed again, he couldn't resist and said his feelings a little too early. He's not perfect but at least it shows he cares for the club.

That’s all fine but why take aim at the player instead of the situation? All this does is give other players a glimpse into Wilders press attitude towards them.

He needs some media training asap if he’s sticking around long term, as he seems to have little concern of the effect of his words on the squad / club.
