We Ertl, Quinn, Britton and Monty, we must have the only midfield in the league that looks better when the opposition has the ball.

a) Ertl is now set to be our main right back

b) Quinn is off

Ertl will be used primarily as a centre half / centre mid. I can see him being moved about over the season.

Quinn is signing a new contract so cant see him going anywhere.

We are short of depth in midfield, though not as woefully as we are at the back. We need one more bodies in midfield IMO but I think we're short down the left hand side mainly.

I'd argue that Quinn is probably more effective in the DM role but unfortunately playing him and Monty in the same centre midfield just doesn't work.

Yeh he's been at Fulham a while. If I remember correctly he spent a short spell on loan at Barnsley a couple of years ago while Mifsud was there.

Seem to vaguely remember watching him somewhere. Kind of reminds me of Benayoun a little the way he plays. Dont know why!

He's much more than a defensive midfielder though Torrix. He's a proper footballer. What we need is are good midfielders; 5 crap ones is no solution at all: Quality not quantity.

This fella can play. Unlike everyone's favourite first-on-the-team-sheet mediocrity, he has a good touch, vision, can pass and gets in the opposition penalty area with pleasing regularity. He is in a different class to either Monty or Quinn.

I despair of some of you [not you Torrix]. The mere thought of recruiting someone who might replace your parochial favourites and thereby improve our team fills you with dread.

I know, we were talking about that. It's a shame Tramlines don't move shift a weekend or two as it clashes with Indietracks and something else I think. I may well make the effort to come up next year though.

The timing of Tramlines has been a disaster. We can't play it because our drummer is on honeymoon in Hawaii, the selfish get!!!!!
