Great fella. Excellent referee.

Great ref, but I'd rather a stricter hand given the tactics Wendy used at BDTBL. Really don't fancy another late assault on our keeper going unpunished.

The pe
Preimier league yeah but he has been demoted to the football league

4 years on Premier League and taken off by "mutual consent". Sounds like a sacking! Now on national list - got Reading this Saturday (at Middlesborough) for the first time since the "goal" that went about 5 yards wide against Watford!

i am worried
Ched wants to stay we are doing well a good ref appointment where as our neighbours are in turmoil manager on the brink 3 losses in a row

any one else feel the same ? i hate these games

I know what you mean iggle. When it is all going perfectly, history tells you that is when The Blades cock it up big style.

I think that the pigs will be kicking ten tonnes of shit out of us Sunday so we need officials that will control the game.
They will be looking to put some blockers on our promo push so watch out for some fireworks.

I'm happy with that appointment too. I'd heard rumours it was going to be Darren Deadman, we might aswell not have bothered turning up if it was him!

He would have been universally popular. As well as the mess he made at Charlton, you have to remember that according to Wendy fans he gifted Udders a goal in the 27th minute of injury time.

Mark Halsey is my favourite referee by a mile. Unfortunately that's because he likes to keep the game flowing when he can.

Sunday may be the sort of day when we actually need protection from a fusspot type as we are brutally battered by a team of neanderthals.

Not to mention the penalty he gave Blackpool.

Preston gave us a good kicking on Saturday but we kept playing through it and took the points. As long as Elbows Johnson isn't allowed to play his normal game they don't seem to have much else by way of threat. I hope!

Elbows is out injured.

Oh dear. Seems 'JJ' is out for 8 weeks. Pity it's not more but, with any luck, we'll never have to face him again.

'Megson moved to replace the injured Johnson with the signing of Michail Antonio on an emergency loan from npower Championship side Reading on Tuesday.'

"Michail has pace, strength, an eye for goal and he works hard," Megson added.

"Our fans will have seen him when we played Colchester, I was surprised when he was taken off in that game."

Mark Halsey reffed a Boston United match a few years back when they were (briefly) in the 4th Division. It's a tight ground where the fans are just a few feet from the pitch (a nightmare for linesmen/women) and one can hear clearly what's going on. I was very impressed with the way that Halsey talked to the players all the time and encouraged them - particularly the younger ones.
