When they both joined, I don't recall anyone being on their backs. When they're not performing, it is expected sometimes.

In fact, there was a massive circus around Billy joining, and had another striker under performed to the level he did when he was with us then they would have been out long before he was...... eg Ched Evans.

Hmmm, I agree to a sense. Perhaps its not a vociferous element against Evans, but there are plenty of negative comments echoing through the staduium.

He gets a complete hammering on the forums though, I do like him though

I must be the only one that didn't think Billy underperformed. He didn't have the goal per game everyone expected, but his "assists" made up for it.

I didn't see Donny Rovers giving him back when he went six games without a goal.
Neither were they moaning on Radio Sheff or waving their shoes about either.
Oh the joy of low expectations.
