An Ode to the Blades fans

[Benny and the Blades]

Wi were in front room listening to wireless,
thi were Albert me and our Lee.
We were listening to Barnsley V wendy,
unusual that for us three,

We all groaned when wendy mossed one,
and cheered when Barnsley replied,
and when we heard wendy fans moaning
we laughed till we nearly cried.

And then I got round to thinking
how will we be when thing don't go right,
will we start up moaning and groaning
if we think team ant put up a fight?

At the end of the day were all Sheffield,
we all moan when our team doesn't win
and though I know some waint agree here,
were all Dee Dars under the skin.

So once all the dust has settled
and things can get back to the norm
when the time comes we know what will happen
and how well we've weathered the storm.

spare a thought for the man, Chris Wilder
making plans for the season to come
Knowing he's got to do it all over again
or he could well be out on his bum.

There's no second chances in football
no let's give him 2 or 3 years,
the slashes wont wait for tomorrow
so all this could well end in tears.

And if you think this couldn't happen,
not with our lot couldn't, no fear.
take a quick look or on dark side
and just see what's happening theer.

the fella they hailed as their saviour
is not doing the business and so
the wendys are acting all peevish
and the lynch mob is raring to go.

So think on if at first it dunt happen
all you moaners hold back your barbed thrusts
we know in the end it will happen
cuss in Wilder and Knills we all trust.......

Wilder will be given as much time as he needs to build a side capable of competing in the Championship

In fact I think he'll have achieved that by August

Carlos the Jackel has had two seasons and spent multi millions, so if they don't go up there will be pressure to change
