Never realised he played a couple of reserve games before his debut against Spurs. I used to go to all Central league and Northern Intermediate matches in those days and cannot recall him playing.

You will have been watching our first team games when TC played in couple of reserves matches in February 1968. These days the reserve matches were played at the same time as the 1st team on Saturdays

Just had a look our reserve matches in Sharrowblade's website. TC signed for us on 1st February 1968. Not sure if he played in our home reserves match against WBA on February 3rd. Our 1st team were playing at Newcastle that day (lost 1-0). He played in the away reserves match at Bolton on February 17th and on the same day we were playing in the FA Cup 4th round against Blackpool at home (won 2-1). He didnt play in the reserves match at Preston on the 24th February so he was probably rested for the 1st team match at home to Spurs a few days later
