Love the intro music! Listening now! I do love how we've got United fans from America and anywhere outside of Sheffield really! When I was growing up it was amazing if you met a United fan from Rotherham let alone America! Not wishing to be two faced though as on another thread I did state and I stick to that I will not sing USA, USA, USA no matter how well Trusty does! I am well chuffed he's signed though!

There's probably no need to even mention it re USA, USA because no one cares, but nevertheless I feel the need to elaborate! Mainly it's due to the capitalist nature of America, the lack of wealth distribution, lack of NHS, it's bad here but I cannot imagine what it's like in America in this regard. There's also much more tedious reasons like countless Americans on Youtube shouting AWSEOME every other word and for some reason my kids love those videos, it's not pleasant working from home when those are on! Anyway that's off my man boobs now, love watching you guys on Sheff Utd Way and met many Americans who have all been sound I must say.

P.S very impressed you know on Agana and Deane considering that was probably well before your time. Didn't see Agana sadly, he was sold just before I went regularly, and only got handful of games watching Deane until he was sold! Both very good though, particularly Deane.

Call it the eternal classic American optimism. It’s sometimes kayfabe for the podcast but we’ll have a proper moan with patented United doom and gloom over private channels.

Go back and listen to our 20/21 podcasts if you fancy depression pods. We may be there in a months time, but without a ball kicked, have to try and stay positive.

Always preferred Agana to Deane, he was quicker, better dribbler with more intelligence. He could create chances as well as finish them.
In the early days Deane was gangly but quite physical (Bassett always used to complain Deane should be more agressive and use his physical advantage more)
Deane in the early days was just a goalscorer and much better than Agana at headers.

The reason why both were loved by the fanbase wasn't just their partnership, it's rare when you have 2 players who are so likely to score up front.
Remember when we beat Chester 6-1, both Deane and Agana scored an hatrick.

The reason they were so popular was their humility, both seemed so happy and appreciative to be playing for us.
Both would stay behind after the match clapping the fans etc.

Regards Trusty, agree his signings offers more positives than just the player.
US football fans will always be interested in monitoring the progress of the USA international stars.

Loved both players and as you say, they loved us and the club. Both were grateful for their chance and rightly became legends.

I think though, that the pair personified the 'class is permanent, form is temporary' truism.

Once the 'Agana-bobble' deserted him, TA quickly slipped down the game.

Deano was like a fine wine, maturing with age.

Brilliant times.
