After my interview with Tony Agana before Christmas I am delighted to say Alan Kelly agreed to answer a few questions about his career. I posted the interview in three parts and you can access via the links below.

Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed pulling it together.

Well done..

Really good interview again, thanks.

Why is Dane Whitehouse known as "Sid?"

Excellent - Agana and Kelly were definitely my era. 88-96 was when I never needed to get anyone else's permission to go to a game, didn't mind spending all my money on it and it was a right good laugh. Reading that brought back some great (and in the case of Wembley - not so great) memories. Must have been a joy to write.

His old man is called Sid.

Is that his todger or his father, brownie?

Fact is, it still doesn't answer the question - why Sid?
Did he not get the chance to buy any British Gas shares when it was privatised or summat?

Dane's Dad is called Sid.

Without doubt Alan Kelly is one of my top three players I have had the pleasure to know during my 24 years or so at The Lane, totally professional in every aspect.

The Lord of the Dance was, sorry I'd get lynched if I outed him.

Go on Rooks, I'm intrigued now... who are the other two?

Thanks for the comments all.

Foxy - Apologies for spamming the forum with these interviews but when Tony and Alan gave up their time and told great stories I wanted it to reach as wide an audience of Blades as possible.

Rooks - Come on - do tell!

Don't worry about it, if I'd not been so busy, I'd have posted/tweeted them myself Ian!

Don't apologise, I think these interviews are a great insight and really enjoy them.

Thanks Shreds - keep 'em coming. If they weren't on here I think I might not get to see them. Top stuff
What about Jock Bryson next?

Thanks Rooks - You are pretty much at legendary Blade status yourself feller.

If you're going to spam with interviews like these then carry on spamming. Quality. Thank you.

Thanks once again folks. For those asking; I have another interviewee potentially lined up, I have emailed questions over for them to see in advance. Main difficulty is lining up when I can arrange to meet up with them to do it. Soon, hopefully. I'll let you know when it is online.

I am also planning a book at the moment, separate from the interviews, so may ask for forum members' input if the idea gets off the ground.
