Presumably an alternative to Viera. So if he signs he's likely to occupy the centre mid role of a three in midfield and then allowing Norwood to play right as he did at Fulham? Where that leaves Berge I guess depends on whether he stays or not, if he does then surely he'd play over Norwood. Unless Slav is thinking 3-4-3 and Berge wide right, with Norwood and another in the middle, and left mid Osborn or possibly RND.

Bloke looked well past it the last time I saw him. Where is this imaginative, innovative transfer policy we were promised? No evidence so far.

I've no idea what type of MF this guy is but if he's the type to sit in front of the back 4, break up play and get us moving again then I'm all for it as that's exactly the type of player we need. Vieira was blatantly 1st choice for this role but maybe this guy is the next best thing.

Also I'm not discounting him purely based on age as 2 of the finest players I've seen do that role for us were Gordan Cowans and Stuart McCall. Both at the end of their careers but both were fantastic for us. I still also to this day state if McCall had started vs Wolves in Cardiff we wouldn't have capitulated like that in the 1st half.

For those asking about Garner as well he's more of a box to box type so would probably play next to this guy instead of Berge (providing he leaves) in either a 4231 or 433. I've a mate who supports Florist and he says Garner was class for them last year.
