The debt, along with the ground, is part of the PLC. McCabe's reasoning (in pubic anyway) is that it's easier to find an investor for a "plain vanilla" football club, with non of the complications of the infrastructure and debt.

As far as I know, the football club doesn't have any debt.

I think you are correct in that, The last will be sorted in July when the final Tevez money releases the Santander loan.

My big worry is whether or not the club has cash flow problems - if so this could go some way to explaining the Blackman sale.

I believe we have a club infrastructure far above our league status and although we are below the 65% FFP this infrastructure is what is currently causing the recruitment and retention problem.

This is the biggest problem. "5th Biggest City" is as far s most people look, but it's more complicated than that.

Once we were regarded as the fourth largest city. Has the population dropped are is Tony Blair and our Gordon doing the math? P.S. It is quite some time since I set foot on the hallowed turf so I may be right out of date on this one.

I agree, we have had our share of "rogues" in the past. However the amounts of monies "owed" make the ground sell off scenario more likely also with the hotel, business centre gone and I understand applications for further development submitted it's a very short journey to developing the remaining rump of the estate

And to think that we used to grumble when the old Duke of Norfolk owned the ground. I do remember in those days there were notices on the gates that No betting was allowed on the ground. . How pleased we were, when finally the ground was ours, and now we are back to square one, or worse ,when the encouragement to bet is paramount and we are at the meercy of a pproperty developer..

Are you sure that the ground is now owned by SUFC PLC. I thought it had gone the same way as the hotel out of SUFC PLC into another Scarborough Company.

I think that is correct, however ScarboroughHoldings are the majority shareholders of the PLC

A bit like who owns Bellend Rd nobody is quite sure which company or sub group owns what anymore, just think of it like this McCabe owns them all and he wears a flash suit with lots of hidden pockets.

Yup and once things are taken away it suddenly becomes more difficult to get them back! Especially from property developers who like to and do hold land banks until the financial climate is right to make a profit.

I thought Leeds council owned their ground.

I remember a little club in West London a few years back but their chairman was called Ken Bates - similar circumstances to us - and then this Russian guy got involved!
Which division were they in when he got involved?

Have long had Adam Pearson down as a ??? investor in #sufc. But seems past ties with #lufc pulling stronger. Good man on #hcafcrecord

Copied from Alan Biggs tweet looks like the Weeds link may be on

According to the official Leeds website the bid has been rejected. Not sure what's going on here.
