Also proper boils my piss all the people slagging duff off for moving and apparently been gready on here Facebook and Twitter.

Where has it been said he moved for the money he just wanted a longer contract as at 30 odd he wants reassurances.

And without Duffy we might not have got out of league one let alone the prem

Leave the duff bashing out 👋🏻👋🏻

Wilder said on record he asked for a new contract. Wilder said he'd had one recently plus promotion add ons so no chance which was the correct decision. Clearly Duffy thought the opposite and decided to play hard ball.

Only one winner in this battle.

Great player Duffs and I agree was fantastic for us but he has shit for brains to try and hold Wilder to ransom. He's got what he deserved out of this, bench time at the foot of the championship.

Silly boy.

He wouldn’t have even got bench time for us this season.

He wanted a longer contract as he is 30 odd can you blame a guy for wanting to know whether they’d have a job in 2 years time.

How did he try and hold the club for ransom?
Do you think wilder is still on the same money as when we were in the championship ?

OK holding Wilder to ransom wasn't the best terminology but clearly this was more more than asking for a new deal. I'm not saying he shouldn't ask but once the reply was no he should have got his head down and got on with the opportunity of a lifetime. If Wilder had relented (and why should he have) everyone would be knocking on his door. This is not how it works.

And i disagree, I think Duffy would have featured on the bench and today he could have got an opportunity against the European champions and his home team.

Can't speak for him but surely he must regret pushing this now.

If your Duffy would you stay and possibly play 2 minutes here and there and know you’ll be leaving anyway , bear mind ravel Morrison can’t even get on the bench and Duffy would be behind him.

Think Duffy went to play more football which is good on him.

And how can anyone slag the man for wanting a longer contract when he’s probably got 2/3 years left is beyond me.

How dare Duffy want to make as much money as possible for his family with short little time he has left.

As for the stick his misses gets on Twitter there probably the same people who were saying he’s the best thing since sliced bread before he left

Disagree with this, I think Duffy would be ahead* of Morrison and possibly Besic and sometimes maybe even Freeman (it's all about opinions), he's been dropped before and come roaring back (like a lion, not like a baby) but he's away now and no use crying about it.

The same John Lundstram that scored our first goal back in the Premier League, and set up Lys Mousset last week at Everton with that fantastic pass, and who was mentioned by most on here as a man of the match contender, just behind Egan?

The same John Lundstram that has hardly put a foot wrong since the new season started?

Not being keen on a Blades player is one thing, but calling him that?, seriously?

As for Duffy, I loved him like we all did, and I am 100% confident that he would have figured in today's game and also the away fixture on New Year's Day. Chris Wilder mentioned on many occasions at the end of last season about Mark Duffy, Prescott Cables and how he would be taking on his boyhood club in the Premier League.

I think he was being sarcastic, I don't think he has a problem with Lundstram 😀

Agree with this......Duffy was easily our best player in spells last season.
You don’t go from hero to zero that quick....he would have got opportunities off the bench.
He’s ahead of Morrison and Besic and probably on a par with Freeman...although LF has youth on his side.

Also think the criticism of him regards financial greed is unfair.
He won’t be super rich like Mousett and any other PL player.
Duffy’s timing has been shocking really.....he’s been a Championship journeyman/ good league 1 player all his career.
He finally makes it into the PL when he’s in the twilight of his career.

Also think Duffy deserves more respect....he’s been a joy to watch over the last 2 years.....and is one of my all time favourite players over the last 40 years.
He’ll always be a legend to me and i’ll always be massively grateful for what he did for Sheff Utd.
