Stewart

Got another year left on his contract. Only way we could get Derby to take Hendrie's ridiculous wages off our books.

He did ok today till he got injured.

Thought that Stewart was our best player other than Little in the first 20 minutes. He caused Barnsley all kinds of problems and I agree that was his best Blades performance so far. Was noticeable the difference with Taylor on.

How bad a left back are you if Jordan Stewart is better than you?!!!!

Seriously though. How is this man a professional footballer?

Imagine him at 19yrs old. As a coach you'd think there's a lot to work with - pace, strength, height...

Trouble is, he's just not technically adept. In the slightest.

I thought he managed to knacker himself up when he went to clear the ball into touch and didn't know which foot to use. Mind you was a long way away in the Westfield

That was quality, he kind of fell into the ball and cleared it :D.

If you kick the ball properly then it is highly unlikely that you would get an injury from doing it

Absolutely! It looked like he got himself mixed up and twisted his knee as a result. From where I was sat think he went with his left and ended up putting it out with his right

Jordan Stewart is kind of like Glenn Johnson. The main comparison is this: he looks pretty good on occasions going forward, but when he's asked to defend like a proper full back he doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Naysmith is better at both but injured and unlikely to play for us again, Taylor is better defensively, just, but slower.

Sad thing is Stewart is on a similar amount.

Another good piece of business

You seriously think Stewart is better than Taylor ,try looking at the match ,Taylor created loads down the left in the second half and defended well. Taylor is a young player learning the game ,Stewart has been around for years. After your view on Kenny as well I really think your judgement is bizarre.

Taylor has potential and IMO, has played pretty decent in the last two games. I was surprised to see him on the bench today.

I prefer Taylor over Stewart, but I don't think people are realising his age.

Taylor is 24, Stewart is 28. Taylor should know the game well enough by now, surely?

that should be the last we see of jordan stewart

Nope, I don't think so.

I think his contract runs beyond this summer and the injury looked like a fairly bad one, so no one will be trying to sign him anytime soon.

As has been mentioned above, he went down holding his knee and seemed to twist it somewhat. It was one of those innocuous looking incidents that often results in the worst types of injuries. I wouldn't be surprised if he's ruptured his cruciate ligament, which would put him out for at least 6 months.

Stewart is crap.

Taylor is crap.

hope that clears things up
