A link to a write-up on the most popular Charlton website.

Seems like a lot of our fans are pessimistic about Sunday, and i think rightly so. I think it'll be a tough hard fought game for both sides.

Also appears there is a mutual respect between fans, something that was certainly missing from the last round. Whoever wins will get an 'all the best in the semi final' message.

It'll be a cracking atmosphere and as they say 'May the best team win'.

I certainly felt that during the season that Charlton went up from League One as Champions. Was it there before that season, or was that the year it came about?

Good and insightful post George. I happen to believe that some sets of supporter's like the buzz that comes from being purposefully antagonsitic. I'm very passionate about SUFC, but do I wish harm or damage to other supporter's? Of course I don't.

The banter is fun, and yes, sometimes it does get a bit excessive, but as long as we remember that it's football, not a cure for cancer, then perspective is maintained. Good luck on Sunday mate, not too much you understand ;), and like you, I hope it's a cracking game for both sets of fans. Against all the odds your lot have done brilliantly to sell out your allocation of tickets, so you can rest assured we'll serve up an atmosphere we'll all remember UTB

It's a game for both teams and both sets of supporters to enjoy. No pressure really on either side. If we win, what's the betting it's the first ever semi not to be televised? Also in sure the FA would insist on a Sunday 5pm kick off.
Seriously though I think there are similarities between our clubs. I for one have great respect for their manager, top bloke.

Good write up, nice balance for both teams.

Here's a preview I worked on as well: viewfromthedugout.com/facup-quarter-final-preview/

Should be a cracker, great to see it's a sell out!

Let's all make our avatars ones of us posing with the FA Cup. It's worked for me so far, courtesy of Foxy although his camera is a bit dodgy, I'm really five years younger and a stone lighter :)
