5 Pts from a possible 12 against the top 4 sides in the division is a bloody good return.

And two clean sheets. Very encouraging.
And the two goals we did concede, against Wolves and Orient, were pretty soft goals in my opinion - it's not like we got ripped to shreds.
We've conceded 3. We let in 2 against wolves
If Crewe lose at home to Wolves and Shrewsbury fail to win at Tranmere on Saturday we are officially safe as well![/QUOTE
We're safe now, I don't have the information to hand but 4 sides cannot get more than 55 points. I think Colchester still have Crewe and Shrewsbury to play and no combination of results gives more than 55 points.
Which would mean Colchester can only get 55 points.Crewe can still get 58 points if they win all their games (including Shrewsbury). The two teams above them (Carlisle and Tranmere can also get 61 ponts). So I stand by my original statement!

I'm sorry but you are wrong, we are safe.
Crewe still have Colchester to play yes. If they were both to draw that game then they would both be on 56, given they both win their remaining games. Agree there would need to be a massive turnaround in goal difference but still stick by original statement![]()
Ha ha, I can just about give you this !
So if Crewe and Colchester win all their remaining games except when they play each other and draw.
And United lose their 5 remaining games by say 2-0 in each game, and Crewe win their 4 games by 5-0 at least, this is the one instance where we could still go down (not withstanding that Oldham, Carlisle, Tranny and Shrewsbury could lose vital points, they have to win virtually every game as well).
I think we can agree we can both stop worrying about relegation.
Now the Rotherham game is out of the way, I just hope we have a Blades side that turns up for Wembley
It's amazing where Cloughie has taken us since the dark days of Weir.

Don't, just don't. ..Never ever underestimate the capability of Sheffield United to seize relegation from a position of seeming absolute safety...
