1) Show Haji Wright onto his right foot, do not let him cut inside onto his left!! Very dangerous player and good finisher, but EXTREMELY one footed, always looking to get the ball onto his left foot.

2) Target their RCB Bobby Thomas, obvious weak link in the Coventry side and is often out of position or back peddling. Been a culprit of lots of opposition big chances.

3) LOTS of crosses, Coventry pretty small team especially defensively and concede alot from crosses recently. Against Oxford- corner, headed goal... against Stoke - freekick, easy headed goal... against Derby - freekick, headed goal from point blank range.

On point 3, Coventry have scored more headed goals this season than anyone in Europe, from the most successful crosses in the division - whilst defensively they are fifth in the division for winning aerial duels. I suspect they will be the team targeting crosses into our box.

Yeah it's quite bizarre, they're really good attacking crosses but poor defending them ( might be due to their keeper never coming off his line)

Wright is very good with both feet. If anything his right foot is stronger than his left. That's why he is so good playing on the left. But with Mason-Clarke also back from injury he takes the left wing.

The problem with Thomas is he loves going forward. Has got a few important goals for us. But when hit on a quick counter he is normally in the wrong side of the pitch. But very good in the air.

I agree we're not brilliant in defence. But we have goals right through our side. We must have close to 15 different goal scorers this season. Wright has missed most of the season yet still has 10. Recently we've been scoring 3 and conceding 2.

Dovin is young for a GK. Only 22 so is still learning his trade. Very good shot stopper and starting to get vocal. Very good with his feet and does come out for the ball. Is a part of the national squad for Sweden.

To be fair Robin Olsen has racked up 76 caps for Sweden so it’s a bit of a low bar! 😉

I have no idea about points 1 or 2 but point 3 is a waste of time, how many goals have we scored direct from corners or even headed goals this season ?
Corners are a waste of time for us same as Robinsons long throws.
We most be in the bottom three for goals scored from corners.

Probably lol, Kieffer Moore nailed on to score a header against Coventry then 🤩

Edit: I'm going to go Mccallum, best header of the ball at the club, ex-Cov.. it's written in the stars!

Shouldn't the Pigs have beaten Coventry at home recently, played better than them, but gifted Coventry two stupid goals including a daft one from the keeper dropping it?

If so, just do what the Pigs did, but don't gift them goals 😀

The only problem with lots of crosses is that they seldom come into the box at head height. They mainly come in low as Wilder has an obsession with scoring from scraps. Burrows will occassionally cross higher in, but whoever plays on the right doesn't. Even then the crosses don't come in early enough and mainly come in near to the goal line by which time teams have had time to drop back in number. Again this is more a right side problem than left.

Let the players play with instinct instead of baffling and stifling them with system football. Let them male their own decisions intuitively like Hamer does.
One Hamer in the team is excellent, not sure 10 would be!

But yes a bit of instinct - particularly in the sense of movement to create space for Gus and Peck to pass into - wouldn’t go amiss. Bristol City did this very well the other week.

We’ve earned 21 more points than them. Why don’t we let them worry about us? Pigs should’ve beat them and they got swept aside by Derby.
I’ve stopped worrying about games now. Can’t think of much to post or discuss it’s just down to each game and like it or not results around us. I was in sales and this period just before the end of a sales campaign we referred to it as being in Death Valley. Only way is forward, don’t look sideways or backwards until each step is taken, each game is over then go again.

Their equaliser against us back in November was a header, and we had big Harry then

Swept aside by Derby 😂
They had 11 players behind the ball. Hit on the break. 2 shots on target 2 goals. Neither should have counted. The second was so far out before crossed into the area that the players standing foot was on the line with his other stretching for the ball. These things happen.

Yes you've done very well this season 👏 Sunderland were 13 points ahead of us before we played them last game. They're very poor. Worst side I've seen all season. I hope your side is as confident as you are. Keep it tight we will struggle to score unless the chances go to Wright. Leave space then we will score. But our defence is not very good. Expect goals for both sides and an entertaining game. The result could go either way. Happy with a point.

So what you're saying is, don't employ jono into any analytical role.

What I'm saying is I've most probably seen him play more than anyone who supports your club. Good player until in front of goal. Then you would think he had 2 left feet.

Nobody's perfect. Look at the opening post. He thought Wright is left footed and EXTREMELY one footed. His right is as good as his left 😂

I hope you're doing the tactics as Wright is two footed and his right is his strongest foot 😂

Ah so... if we'd have played free flowing, artisan football all season, we wouldn't be languishing in the sorry position we currently are in?

So to beat Coventry we just need to park the bus and spoz a couple of goals

I reckon we could do that 😀

Never said I was confident, just that over the course of the season, we’ve been a much better side than you. Sorry I’m not fearing a side that got turned over by 22nd in the league.
