Their league goal tallies last season were like this:

The rest of the squad chipped in with one more, giving a total of 29 goals over a full season. That is 17 goals fewer than Exeter who scored the least amount of goals last season.​

Obviously we should expect that some players would score more as they would play more games, but still, when people expect the above squad to cruise through this division and win automatic promotion they are a lot more optimistic than me!​

reckon kenilworth is bang on actually.. at least we got rid of simmo this season.. so that is one of bootwells poison chalice signings per season.. we've now got rid of Henderson and Simmonsen.. only Monty and Quinn to go.. i've said it for years and won't be swayed.. until we get rid of these two clowns we won't get anywhere.. monty is out of contract at the end of next season.. another year of treading water then.

Don't think we will be at that end of the table, Metal, but I am not getting excited at the prospect of fighting a mid table position - which is where I think we will be - just a few places below the play off positions.

If they don't leave this closed season, come Christmas and into the January tranny window I expect a few departures because of our league position.

In order to make any significant additions to the squad, one would assume we'd have to sell the likes of Quinn and Monty. If any sort of offer comes in for them I imagine the club will snatch at it.

Any subsequent offers for Lowton and Maguire would also probably be accepted at the right price. In regard to the three out of contract players, it would seem there is only enough in the budget to cover what we've offered.....they're not accepting those terms at the present time so it looks doubtful they'll be sticking around.

Porter should be grateful we are offering him a contract. He was dire in his earlier games. He did improve a little at the end of the season but he is nowhere near good enough to be our main striker.

The fantasist in me says we are going to comfortably piss this league, and the realist reckons no higher than 8th, having started badly, come good after Christmas and then fizzled out in mid-March. With the current squad....and I mean no disrespect to individuals here, we will be lucky to finish in the top half. We still have good players on the books but the squad is massively unbalanced and we have very few goals in the team. We'll do no better than mid-table even if KMac, Willo and Porter re-sign.

As it stands we need more cover at the back and at least two forwards. I would add a creative wide player to that to make us anywhere near a top 2 side.
