Possibly 5 but could it be Pearce for centre half? Be interesting to see if he plays tomorrow night cos Blackie seems to be talking down Davies on Official Site and he would probably have been available.

Pearce? I thought he was more of a left back but I'd like to see us tempt him out of retirement.

Be interesting to see which team turns up at West Brom..............literally! according to that article our lads are heading off to Watford on Saturday!!!

Sorry gents, should have explained myself a little better!

Alex Pearce of Reading - good young centre back - could be the one Blackie is after so it will be interesting to see if he is in the Reading team tomorrow night.

Never mind though, at least I gave you two a chance to jump in - what fun eh!

I'd thought the reference to Vicarage Road meant that we wouldn't see anybody in before next Tuesday but you've got me wondering now Santos - hope KB isn't that confused!

Reading have just signed Khivanishvili from Blackburn on loan so maybe Pearce is on his way. Although the Georgian could play holding midfield?

Is that the same Khivanishvili that chose Blackburn over the Blades early on in the season? Sure got him a long way that decision.

I think he has been there a while Kenilworth. He was on loan to Newcastle earlier in the season and still the right side of 30. I think he could have been a good addition. The only thing going against him is pace as, Walker aside, I think this is something we need to add to our back line.

Ah that's more like it. Pf course he chose the barcodes and now the plastic hoola hops. He is certainly geared for a disappearing act. He has the word "vanish" in his name after all.

........coat?

To be pedantic it's Khizanishvilli, so it doesn't hold up... but it would have been ok if not :p

I think it'll either be Pearce or Mills from Reading, I'd take both of them so it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next week or so.

We must be taking somebody off West Brom before the transfer window closes if we keep taking players from our league opposition, Dorrans anyone?

A guy I work with used to play in the same team as Alex Pearce. I asked him what he was like last week and got the response:
"Strong and good in the air. Can't run"
