This shirt is on Ebay advertised as an Umbro away shirt, can anyone confirm that we actually used a full blue shirt back then. UTB!

There was a blue shirt worn in at least one away game in the 74-75 season. I can't remember the opposition. I think we won. My memory isn't what it was but hopefully Silent Blade will be along shortly to provide the details. :)

But not in that monstrosity.

Lost 3-2 at Stoke, 0-0 at Liverpool, lost 1-0 at Arsenal and probably at Boro (lost 1-0)

Thanks Silent. I knew I'd seen it somewhere, I was at both the Liverpool & Arsenal games. I think we'd been on a good run before the defeat to Arsenal? Still had a great season though. The season after I was at anfield again, think we lost one nil to Ray Kennedy goal? I was up at Boro too, think we got hammered 3 nil and we're probably already relegated? Boro back then seemed like the roughest place on earth... some things I don't mind forgetting 😉

wore it at Stoke, when I think Jimmy Johnstone made his debut.

Not that match. We wore it at Stoke in Oct 1974 (lost 3-2, Badger sent off). Jimmy Johnstone's debut was in November 1975 when Geoff Salmons scored both goals for Stoke in our 2-1 defeat.

I was at the Stoke game and can confirm that it was an all royal blue kit. That shirt in the OP is not a truly accurate version though. The collar wasn't open necked like the replica, but a V insert collar like the home shirt that season.
