But obviously, that figure isn't important, it's just something for people outside the club to focus on ;)

nited's season ticket sales have surpassed the 19,000-mark for the 2009/10 campaign.

There has been a terrific response from fans after freezing prices on season tickets, which can be bought for the same price as last year, or even cheaper.

Blades supporters have flocked to the Lane to secure their seats after the announcement of the new season's fixtures list, with key games against Sheffield Wednesday (now 18th September), Newcastle (31st October) and Middlesbrough (16th January), proving popular.

Pretty good going for a club in a 2-club city, and in the second tier at that!

I'm surprised actually. Expected a lot of people to give it a miss this year, considering the financial difficulties a lot of people are facing, coupled with missing out on promotion.

And get on with glossing the Kop at the sty you fucking muppet

no amount of paint will help him, he should recall 'you cant make a silk purse out of a pigs ear' . The smell of all that new gloss wont mask the smell of the swine.;)

Good news from the gastric band due Monday :D

Gotta love how a clear message gets distorted.

I was asked how many more players we were signing. I referred to the graph published last week and said that the budget was dependent on ST sales run rating on target and that we would probably be announcing that "budget is being cut because of shortfall of sales".

FYI - last year we spent £4.5m and we are approaching £6m now.

Not witjhstandingf some Owls having fincia constraints, it looks like loads of Owls going with "someone else will buy an ST so I don't need to" and "I will wait and see how things go" missing the whole "you have got to make it happen by buying an ST" bit.

Announcement will be call to action for circa 2k that have not renewed and the circa 6k that have not had an ST in the last 3 years.

Lee

The Pied Porker claims he talks clearly, but am I the only person who reads his apparently "crystal clear" statements as a whole lot of words amounting to a whole lot of very much.

I thought this 16.5k season tickets was a figure for other people to concentrate on?

Just keep spinning. I may end up laughing myself into an early grave

Shall I mount the Bring Back Dave Allen campaign? :D

I can see us getting more than 20k easily!

IM sure there are many fans like myself who are still saving up for an ST.

Spot the missing point?

I / we run the club properly and honestly.

I / we develop our infrsatructure and our products

I / we do everything possible to get the right long term investors onboard.#

You all invest your passion energy and any disposable income that you can realistically spare.

I / we invest that money in the club and try and drive things forward.

end of deal.

Pre investment nothing else can happen.

Wednesdayites (rightly) bitch about their club being destroyed, Wednesdayites get their club back, 13k buy in, a couple thousand more have their hands tied by finances, too many others sit on their hands.

I / we am / are delivering on everything - where are some of my fellow Wednesdayites when I need them?

Perhaps they don't trust you not to run off to KFC with their piggy pennies Lee?

Perhaps they'd trust you a little more if it was "I/We invest" not... "you invest" :)

The guy is a buffoon beyond belief! He's been on FowlsSqualk again this weekend begging for support and he's going to make a statement tomorrow about a possible budget reduction if the season ticket don’t hit their (his) target, (they’re currently just under 13k and he needs 16.5k).

He uses phrases like “jog on”, “dude” and “thicko” -to any Wendy who doesn't tow the party line and squeals "where are my fellow Wendnesdayite's when I need them?"
An increasing embarrassing posstot of the highest order, long may he reign at S6! :D

Had a read through Owlstalk. Is that really Stratford on there? If so, i'm embarrased for them. Imagine McCabe coming on here and asking us to pop down to the Lane and buy a season ticket. Totally unproffesional.
