Maybe Silent can tell us when the last time was that we won 12 first team games on the bounce.

I think we did 11 in Cloghie's run but 12 must be a long time ago.

The Magic is Back

Heres the 12 consecutive wins
2-0 home to Millwall
2-0 home to Coventry
2-1 away to Northampton
3-0 away to Port Vale
3-0 home to Bradford City
3-0 away to MK Dons
3-2 home to Chesterfield

9-0 away to Stocksbridge
1-0 away to Malaga
2-1 away to Chesterfield
2-1 away to Rotherham
2-1 home to Stoke City

United's league record for consecutive league wins is 8, last achieved in 2005-6 (we've done it several times). 2 to go to break the record.

We are also currently 17 league games unbeaten since losing at home to Fleetwood. The club record is 22, set in 1899-1900.

Also between the Hull defeat in March 1971 and that Old Trafford defeat in October 1971. 21 league and 1 cup games

I see some Wednesday fans are trying to say we aren't unbeaten in pre season as we lost to Matlock. Probably the same people who protested that it wasn't Sheffield Wednesday who lost to Alfreton 14-0 but a "Sheffield Wednesday X1"

Can't have it both ways guys!

I remember that Hull game well - 1 nil up, lost 1-2. 40K in the ground and Hull fans were all over the terrace - when winning they just had ONE song......hull city, hull city..........

We had the last laugh though - promotion :)

If I remember correctly, Hull kicked us off the park.

Went on to my all time favourite game, the 5 - 1 defeat of Cardiff to set us up for promotion.
