I don't get how fans are still mantraing that 'Nigel will turn it round' or some sort of belief/hope that there is hidden talent to be unlocked or motivated out of the squad.

Face it chaps, the team can't get any better because the team is at it's ability threshhold. It is borne out by Burton running us all over the park the other night without reply or response with players played in all sorts of formations. Top to bottom, we are neutrally buoyant, not likely to face relegation (yet) or likely to be promoted by any means. And for any of you lot deluded to think we can make some sort of playoff burst and sneak in, win three games (one at home, one away and one at Wembley) and then survive the first three months in the upper division, just think. It won't just warrant one or two decent sigings coming into maintain the position of Championship side, the whole playing staff will have to be replaced now because those we had that were good enough to be Championship players have been sold, and those we currently have we believe are, are turning into demoralised dogshit, dragged lower by the lack of ability around them.

Have a think about the residual ability, rather than what you perceive to be hidden capability. The players are at their level now ... and so is the club. The clubs assets are never going to depreciate, the squad can stay here forever as far as McCabe is concerned because deluded fans keep turing up and generating cash, believing there is some hope. And he doesn't have to lift a finger to answer the supplication of next year's big dream of the Championship because we aren't going there and aren't likely to challenge to go there.

Cant see us doing any better than 3 more wins with this shower. If we are lucky.
