Couldn't find a thread on here so liked the idea of using 2010. Anyway perhaps the cup game is a chance to play Reid and Little up front with Evans and Camara, maybe even give a game to France to rest old Del. Not sure how serious we should be about this stuff but worth a shot.

KB was on Bladesworldyplayer thing saying that he wanted to go a long way in the cup, but you can hardly say you're gonna bin it off in favour of the league anyway (unless you're Man Utd and have a trip to Brazil on the cards).

I reckon around 10k attendance.

I see from the O/S that QPR haven't made it through to the Fourth Round since 2000/01.

And they have a new manager.

That's a nailed-on defeat for the Blades then.

3-1 to the mighty Blades!!
I can fell a thumping coming on before we get drawn against Arsenal and get thumped by their kids again :(

hi
does anyone on here know if i can buy tickets on the door for this game???
and if i can how does it work with the people-less turnstiles these days??

There are occasionally cash turnstiles but probably your best bet is to go to the ticket office.

According to the OS, they're open until 18:00 today and then from 10:00 to kick off tomorrow.

Gotta be confident so im going with 2-0 Blades! I know it will be half empty tommorow but I cant wait!! UTB

What you listening to it on? I cant find anything anywhere, holed up ill in my room :(

Thought the first half was really poor.

Thought we played some really good stuff second half but only in flashes.

Camara looked a cut above anyone else on the pitch, I just hope he get's a run of games now.

Taylor was a bit dodgy.

Monty had a good game. Will anyone remember that 35/40yard cross field pass he made over the defenders shoulder?:D

I thought it was fairly entertaining. End to end at times.

Really poor defending from United to let them score. Well taken goal from Cresswell, who'd been hurt a few minutes before, in the injury time at the end of the first half.

We had some decent possession around their box... but Ched, Camara and Cresswell were guilty of getting the ball caught in their feet on occasions. Quinny was a passenger at times and when he did get the ball, he seemed to want to pass it into the space he should be occupying on the pitch... giving away possession.

Seip looked fairly steady when he came on... but didn't have too much to deal with as we had the better second half. Ched's freekick was a cracker and deserved a goal.

Final word to the referee. Awful. If you're in a QPR shirt and go through the back of a player, or boot them in the face, that's fine. If you're in a United shirt and try and chest the ball down but it catches your arm, that's a booking.

Wasn't much to write home about, but nobody expected it to be really. Missed both goals.

HH the Younger III spilt tea on HH the Younger I (sufclucy). It made me mildly nostalgic for days when league matches were like that though ..... nearly.

I'll quote that in another place where a good mate of mine posts who is a QPR fan. He said that .... "Mr A Hall is the referee, and so we are already a man down."

Maybe it's just that Mr Hall is crap.

Can't have too many complaints. I was pleasently surprised when I heard the team. I thought we started well, QPR came back into it, sloppy goal, we were the stronger side in the second half and probably deserved the win. QPR will be happy to get us back to Loftus Road where I imagine we'll play a weakened team.

Bunn 7 - Didn't put a foot wrong, couldn't have done anything with the goal.
Taylor 6 - I think the level of criticism he has received is out of order but he doesn't instill confidence in me. He seems technically very good and put in a great ball for one of the strikers in the first half but he looks physically weak and often seems to panic. Compared to imposing LB's we've had such as Unsworth & Naysmith he doesn't really compare. Seems a very quiet lad who lacks confidence and belief. Still, did better in the second half.
Morgan 7 - Standard Morgs
Killa 7 - I thought he actually played well but I'd like to see their goal again to see who was at fault, a few round me were blaming Killa.
Geary 6 - Fair play to Geary, typical performance but I feel we have been spoilt by Walker & Naughton and in all honesty, Geary isn't in the same league as these two.
Cresswell 8 - Looked lively to me and was always an outlet.
Monty 6 - Typical Monty
Quinn 6 - Typical Quinn, then again there was no need for the sarcastic cheers when he was subbed
Ward 7 - Lively
Camara 8 - MOTM for me, a class above everyone on the field of play today and looked most likely to either score or create our second.
Evans 8 - One of the best performances I've seen from Chedders. Held the ball up very well and brought others into play, seems to be adapting his game to fit in with our system. Nearly broke the bar in the second half. Good lad.

PS - From my view on the Kop I thought the crowd looked pretty good and a damn sight more than 11K.

Yeah, I was surprised.

We were on JS and both the Kop and Laver were pretty packed in the middle.

There should be another 1 added on to the attendance by the way... the ticket office cocked our tickets up and Foxy had to rely on the mercy of a steward to let him in :D

Cant belive the marks you've given for Cresswell ,Ward and especially Evans. They all did probably one good thing each in the match and that was it ,Camara was so much better than any of them.

In fairness I did say he was a class above anyone on the pitch, but I couldn't bring myself to give him 9 out of 10. Maybe I should have pegged everyone down a mark and left him at 8!!! Cresswell & Evans impressed me today and I stand by their marks, although I would concede and probably knock Wardy a mark down.

Personally i thought it was another awful game of football, and yet another game of hoofball.

We need a change of tack, and need it fast, and if a change of tack is not possible then it should be a change of manager.

QPR was there for the taking and we was not up to it

I actually thought Camara did well but still on quite a few occasions had his head down and was totally oblivious of where better placed Blades were.

Obviously I thought Ched had a decent game. As for one decent thing how about the freekick, the run in the first half from our own box to the other end, the amount of times he dropped deep to get the ball that again wasn't getting supplied to him from our midfield two. Again he very rarely wasted possession and 99% found a red and white shirt. Back to the freekick, when is he going to get just a little bit of luck he only needs a couple of goals and he would really grow.

Cresswell for me did nothing all game bar the goal, which he did well for. He lost the ball constantly and neither of our wingers seemed to want to cross the ball.

The view on us from before the match from a QPR message board. In the main, I don't think he's that far wrong, actually.

Linketty link

There's a lot of text, so I'll not C&P ...... hopefully most who might want to read it will be able to click.
