How would you expect an employee to respond after telling him no matter what he does ,he's getting fired .

Apart from that its a great plan.

I’m not particularly keen on Wilder MK3, but I realise that we don’t have much choice at the moment and that our owners have shown themselves inept when it comes to replacing both Wilder and then Selles.

The chances of them getting the next one right are fairly slim and we’ve all seen what happens when the players down tools and refuse to play for a manager.

For all his faults, some of the players appear to like him. The likes of Peck, Arblaster, Cooper, Tanganga, Rothwell, BBD, Choudhury & Bamford seem to respect him. If they all of a sudden started playing even worse than they are at present, we’d be a relegation certainty.

I don't think some of them can possibly play any worse.

I'd love wilder too if he picked me up off the scrap heap and gave me 15g's

Aye, I was in the IN camp when the other poll was created.

Wanted to change but couldn’t, performances have been basically garbage all season but at least results were OK, but Fleetwood was just pathetically bad.

He refuses to accept any responsibility for the performances or indeed recognise that the reason the performances look like a bunch of over 50s playing walking football is because we’re basically one step away from having a team assembled entirely of geriatric cart horses.

I think the owners, by their own admission, aren't knowledgeable enough about football in this country to be best placed to make a choice on a new manager. What they should be doing is contracting someone in, or paying a one off fee to someone that does have the right knowledgeable/experience. I don't know who that would be necessarily, but they've used Des Taylor previously, not saying him per se but there are loads of people out there who could advise them.

There's an argument to say this is within the remit of the CEO, but he's principally an accountant and is too close to Wilder imo.

I think the common thread in the incoming signings is that even the free transfers are short term (with contracts expiring in the summer). Whilst it’s no doubt been a stated approach to bring in more experience, I suspect that it’s far easier to get older players / those with sketchy injury records to agree to a one year or short term deal.

I don’t think anyone is blind to Wilders faults or that his powers have diminished somewhat. But it’s a bad decision if you acknowledge the context of potting the manager who is effectively acting as a sticking plaster on all manner of fronts whilst the club off the field appears a shambles (to put in mildly).

I get being * off that he didn't come over but we are extremely fickle and over reactionary as fans.

If the manager addresses it at the next possible public time then all good in my book.

I am voting out - when his contract naturally expires (which, for reasons only the owners can know, is twelve months later than it should have done). This season is dead to me. Next season is dead to me. The only way for the club to stop its collapse, never mind progress, is a complete overhaul of the entire footballing structure, which to be done correctly will take time to get the right people in place, and in that interim period I really couldn't give a shit what happens on the pitch if we are progressing off it. If we go down in the process of doing things that will make the club stronger five years from now? Don't care. As such, if Wilder's performance on the job is irrelevant and we're paying him anyway, I see no reason to sack him given the finances we work under. If he resigns because "not being backed" or similar tired cliche, perfect. If the owners somehow find the funds to turf him out before his contract runs out? I'll congratulate them on their Powerball win and be very happy Wilder is out. Wilder is a problem and has been since mk2, but he is just one part of the issues with the club. I doubt there's anyone on the board who thinks the importance of the head coach is lower than I think it is anyway.
