CONFIRMED Hamer joins Coventry

[bakeblade]

To be fair if he suddenly developed a professional attitude and got fit
What a player he would be

It was quite comical watching Matt Grimes running after Millar, even Gus looked quicker.

I watched that and thought ooof. Doesn’t bode well does it?

Their recruitment has been abysmal. They will be well adrift, here's hoping.

Dear Coventry,

No refunds

But we'll happily take him on a season long loan as an apology

[Nick Jansky]

I spent a year living in Coventry and I genuinely think the best thing I ate there was Wetherspoons.

Was living there offered as an alternative to a prison sentence?

[Blackheath Blade]

That is Frank James Lampard OBE’s (Twice the manager and twice the bloke than the c*nt occupying your dugout) Title Winning Coventry City to you

Not so fuckin lippy now are we you cunt? What a wonderful start to your brief flirt with the promised land.

[ChipButtyBlade]

Hamer played the full 90 mins for Coventry tonite.

Well we did tell them. Good deal for us financially But not from a creativity point of view.

[Revolution]

The Gus and COH deals are both triple bad: the upside is the money they make, but the deals are:

• bad for us
• bad for the buying club
• bad for their footballing careers

[ancientblade]

hamer is a good championship player but a very average prem player and we did warn them both hamer and o'hare will be playing championship football next season coventry coming straight back down and wrexham going nowhere under parkinson just hope were still there with both of them lol

[Blade56]

Joking apart the state we allowed Hamer get himself into speaks volumes on how our conditioning and management team are failing. In all my years I can’t recall seeing such a bunch of unfit players

[71Blade]

Where was our leader... straight down the tunnel. Thanks fans

[Berkshire Blade]

I don't recall Hamer ever being a physical specimen TBH it's just that football is becoming a much more athletic sport where the likes of a Matt Le Tisser could never ever cut it in the big leagues so it stands out even more as being unsuitable

[Esteban Cambiasso]

Great goal to be fair

Is he playing for Stoke?

[Kozzy_is_my_Dad]

His return to Cov has, so far, been utterly fucking pointless hasn't it?

Romance signing there is no way a pro like lampard will trust him until he takes his fitness seriously… if he have signed for us we would have started him every game

[HeCanDoMagic]

It was the perfect signing for Coventry.

Cheap, appeased the fans, player happy to be bit part, if they go down they have perfect player to build attack round.

[JPBrods]

Bit like Beattie mk2 at the moment isn't it.

[SwitchBLADE Smiles]

Said it at the time but really wasn’t all that bothered that we sold Hamer & was significantly more annoyed at losing Brooks.

For all his good qualities, Hamer really doesn’t have the physical aspect of his game to properly control a game of football. Especially at this level, he really should be dominating games but everything good he ever did came in bits. He’s a luxury player that would do well in a side where the other 10 can make up for Hamers lack of consistency.

Still, GLTTL.

So if we kept the both of them, would we be playing championship football. I think if we had kept them both we would be really pushing for the play offs!

Sometimes I really have to give my head a wobble with us fans! Coventry have signed Hamer so if they come back down, they have a readymade player. If they stay up, they sell him. They got him on the cheap this year and we all know this!
